metal suffers from bad lyrics i would rather listen to instrumental metal metal needs to grow up lyricaly joy division lyrics are adult metal lyrics are for fourteen year olds who get bullied at school but the musicians in metal bands are very good.
What a great pair of hands..SUPER CHOPS..Driven by enormous talent..or..Musical Intellect..I just love..this Passionate Music....Django Lives..Thank You Andreas..!!
no rock guitarist ever had a jazz players virtuosity some come close though, marty friedman for example, but the speed of django style on a acoustic (with NO DISTORTION to make you sound fast) has to be harder.
Great playing. Very stiff, tight like a shredder, compared to the usual gypsy style bounce style picking. But it's cool that it's different. I like the playing.
this is a selmer maccaferri grand bouche replica (designed and patented by mario macafferri, and italian classical guitar palyer), the original one in 1932 had a sound resonator inside so you would not need amplification, then there is the selmer petit bouche, from 1933, that could use a pick up. The grand bouche is probably the best guitar you could play, of course with savarez argentinas strings (silver plated) if you want this beautiful souns.
Yeah, well... Music is a subjective thing. I listne to everything from jazz to black metal, classic rock to alternative. The sooner people stop trying to turn it into a competition the better.
I tell ya, he is without a dout in the top 10 best guitar players of all time. *sigh Being Gypsy..and having just recently started playing....i wish i had started when i was like 5 years old. Playing with any of these guys is my ultimate dream :(
Ya, this guy came outta nowhere and landed himself inside the 10 best guitar players to ever live...although at the bottom of the list..still...he is unreal.
One small point of critisism: The excessive face expression doesn't really fit in Django's music in my opinion. That's the only critisism I can think of though, can't stop listening :D
The Swedish Master of jazz guitar of old was Rune Gustafsson, forever criticized for his dead-pan facial expression - no muscle ever twithched. One of his successors is now criticized for moving facial muscles in the midst of things - ah, well.

To me, heavy-metal rock is just some sounds, rhythm and screaming. Add satanic, violent and sexual messages to that.
Torfinnmadssen 3 years ago
Well, that's your opinion.

Thank god someone is mature enough to say that!

Not all heavy metal is satanic, violent and/or sexual.
The fact that you would make a generalization like that shows your lack of maturity.

What kind of scale is he using ?
NextSlash69 4 years ago
"django" scales...he pretty much uses arpeggios with the leading tone to each chord factor. Also, melodic & harmonic minor, and pentatonic...
JoeyKeeb 3 years ago
A harmonic minor, E phrygian dominant, mixed with minor Scale of a and d
