King Boris of Bulgaria was received in 1942 in Skopje as a liberator. The Communist Party of Skopje left the C.P. of Yugoslavia and joined the Bulgarian Communist Party, and Western literature was read in Skopje in the Bulgarian language.

just to clarify, Vardarska was never the name of Macedonia as a state in Yugoslavia. Kingdon of Yugoslavia made Vardarska banovina as an ECONOMIC part. Kingdom of Yugoslavia was a unitary country. Croatia was split into two banovinas and you don't see separatist movements inside Croatia...

@SPARTANsenator1 yes, but you need to understand that these banovinas were not made according to the nations that live there, they were economic and administrative units. Croatia was split into Dalmatian and Panonian part...

And in those days Yugoslavia, prior to 1929, was called Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes. No Macedonians, or Vardarskians or whatever. Today's MAcedonians were considered Serbs by all except by Bulgarians.
