ALL of the SG series belong in the upper echelon of Sci Fi TV series. Almost next to Stark Trek in my opinion and I am a long time "trekkie". SG1 and Atlantis both were simply amazing. Generally well written and produced with an interesting setting and plots to deal with each week. Well done!

Yes, as much as I liked the Asgard ships I think I like the Tau'ri Daedalus class most of all ships on Stargate. :P

Yes, the BC304 is the "constitution class" of earth. Well, ST comparisons aren't fair I guess. Still the first prometheus reminded me of Archers NX01 Enterprise, underpowered, overworked and always ready to come apart at the seams. The BC304/Daedalus class is the first perfected class of earth starships on Stargate which is similar to Kirk's first Constitution Class Enterprise I think. :) I know thats silly. Still it is interesting.

Anyway, the BC304/Daedalus Class kicks ass.

Probably sounds silly but one of the things I liked about both of the Stargate shows is that they take place in our CURRENT time. It makes me wonder if our governments really do have reverse engineered alien technology. After all most of earth's technological advancements in these programs are reverse engineered alien technologies.

I like this show. In fact, I loved both of the Stargate series.

The Daedalus class starship with its Asgard derived shields and beam weapons backed by Earth nuclear weapons and rail guns is a powerful ship. It is powerful enough to take out an Ori ship which are some of the most powerful ships that SGC and Earth have faced. Add in Transporters and InterGALACTIC hyperdrive capabilities and it really is quite a fine ship. One of the best in BOTH Galaxies.

theres just not enough of them... they need to increase production of those things and pump out like 5 per year or something like that.... a fleet of daedalus class ships would really pwn... the problem is that they're pratcaly unstopable... so they need tougher enemies... but if thats the case, How the **** r they gonna beat them... i guess thats y universe is comming along so that the daedalus class is out of the picture.... damn universe.. now that atlantis is being replaced with it i hate it

i dont see the threat of wraith ships... daedalus class ships have good shields, BAD ASS weapons... ummm.. speed...so yea i think the wraith would be easy (y the phenix was destroyed in the alternete reality/timeline thingy - idk...) the ori would be harder but as long as they keep moveing & shooting then it should be fine... speed would be their ally.... matter a fact idk what one ship could be powerfull enough to take out a 304 with the 304's speed & shields & weapons... ori is too slow...

i agree that wraith ships arent the biggest threat and ori might be a little slow but still combine them they would be a bit too strong.

EXCEPT for the BC 304... the BC 304 can pwn any small ship in like one hit of teh asguard beams...the only thing they could do is introduce a new enemy with stronger ships. but then we need to get EVEN STRONGER STUFF eventualy. so its a neverending cycle... i guess thats y they r going SGU where 304s cant help them

Well, the Daedalus is a very capable little ship with it's asgard shields, even without the asgard weapons. That bay full of nukes can be very effective. And there were not many times when they went up against impossible odds (Maybe no mans's land). I like Caldwell, except for Search and Rescue, where he was a wuss.

Pretty good, only thing I would say is there is only one quick view of Atlantis which is odd because that is what the show is based around and too much emphasis on the space vessels. Otherwise very good opening!
