  • hn.... 63' , 64' , 65' and ealry 66' , has the widest necks...61' , 62' , 66', 67' , 68' , and early 69' has the slim taper neck....and Angus Young's first SG is a 70/71' , not a 68' , I know in Gibson's website it's said his is a 68' , but isn't , pictures don't lie , and even himself already told in a interview , it's a 70/71' SG

  • how much is one of these gibsons

  • @skateprocoop depends , mint contion 68' or earlyers can cost up to 9 grams.....

  • in 1968 angus got 9 ???????????????

  • Lovely looking and sounding guitar. Your playings none too sloppy either. Very Nice. How long have you been playing if I can be nosey?

  • @outofslumber , since I was eight years old. I got my first electric the next year and started a band in the summer after 4th grade. Still doing it...got a gig tonight!

  • One tip: Try to reach out all your fingers, that you don't need for holding the pick. (you can do better palmmutes )

  • this guitar is the only one

  • very nice demo, and nice guitar!

  • Back in the day one of the greatest SG players was Pete Townsend. When questioned why he stuck to an SG, when most other SG players like Clapton were switching to Telecasters, Les Pauls and Stratocasters, he replied (and I agree with him) "because the SG is the loudest guitar I could find"

  • Do those Maestro trems stay in tune pretty well? I've never actually played one. They sure do look cool.

  • The band Badfinger used SG's similar to this one. I wonder what year they were. They had to have been 1972 or earlier. They look pretty much the same as this one with the exception of chromed or stainless steel tuning keys. I'm not sure if they came stock with the guitar or were added on afterwards. Anyway, nice classy look'n guitars & sound amazing too.

  • One thing: Angus' guitar is a 1970 SG

  • @VaporSuperflyII the difference between them is minimal.

  • @Blompcube yes I only wanted to tell you.

As far as I know the '68 has kind of a deeper cutaway ;)

  • @VaporSuperflyII looking at other comments it seems like there's a lot of people arguing about whether angus young had a '68 or a '70 SG :P yeah it's nothing substancially different. not like what gibson did to the SG the following year... much less contouring all around the body, deeper set neck, les paul style pickguard, front-routed control cavity with controls mounted onto the control plate etc..

  • @Blompcube I have a picture of an artivle in which angus says that it is a 70s SG.

Also watch the video "An Angus Young Custom Shop Aged Gibson SG Standard quick overview part one" ;)

  • @VaporSuperflyII i agree

  • i dream with this guitar every night!

i have an Gibson SG Standard '09 , but it's all ebony....

i love it , but im rlly into this model , old cherry finish and maestro ;)

if i had enough money i could buy one :(

  • Beautiful

  • How much it cost ?? :-P

  • how much do you reckon thats worth?

  • @Quailee141

about £10,000 i say, what an honour is must be to own one!

  • @mukkezz

It should fit if you unscrew the whammy. I wouldn't recommend it though since altering the bridge would reduce the sustain. Looks bad ass though

  • i wish the red was darker

  • I demand more videos of this guitar NOW!!!

    :)

  • The amp is a '63 Fender Bassman; blonde, 2x12". I've got a hot plate bringing the volume way down.

  • what amp are you useing and where can i get that guitar

  • @mukkezz i was wondering about that too

  • Wow what a beauty !!

    I've got a question:

I've got a SG Standard and I want to instal a maestro tremolo,

will it fit into my case?

  • this is the hottest guitar i've ever seen...

  • If you have Angus Young guitar, it doesn't mean that you can play as cool as Angus.

  • i have an 08 standard i would love to upgrade to this. where can i find the tailpiece and saddles?

  • How low does that vibrato go? Can you divebomb with it, or does it have about the same range as a Bigsby?

  • angus played a 1970 sorry

  • @skaterdudes2020 his first guitar was a 1970 but, BUT he did use a 1968 through out the years

  • @younggunna774 oh sorry I didn't know that. thanks for the clarification

  • acually angus youngs guitar was a 1970

  • shit, wher did you get that axe. nice playin

  • is the guitar neck heavy

  • too much treble on that amp brah

  • my dream guitar

  • Nice, how's the tremolo on that thing? Does it stay in tune?

  • Much better demo. Love this guitar.

  • how much is it these days?

  • 00:50 wtf his hand shoots away

  • I LOVE THIS GIUTAR....gr8 :-)

  • what

  • no if you look at a 1968 sg and a 1970 sg you will see that the cut aways are different on a 1968 they are bigger more cut away but on a 1970 they are not that cut away.If you look at his new signature you will see that the cut aways are the same as the 1970 and there is some small details aswell. Please look at SOLODALLAS videos he is the one that told me look at his video about his angus young sig

  • his guitar is a 1970 sg not a 68

  • Angus has a '68 he records with and a '70 he plays on stage.

  • no i think he just uses a 70 and just because gibson said that his new sig sg is a 68 that does not make it right it is a 70 sg thats a fact look at SOLODALLAS videos about his sig sg and his other ones about his sg

  • @mickr08 cant say it enough! Angus Young's guitar is a 68. hes signature body is from a 1970 i know! but that doesnt mean hes guitar is a 70!! hes first guitar was a 68 and he still use a 68!!

  • @TheodorKK Thats because his first SG was a 1970-71

  • @BackingTracks NO!!!!!!!!!!!!! HES FIRST GUITAR WAS A FUCKING 68!!!!! HE SAID THAT IN AN INTERVIEW!!!!

  • @mickr08 no. it is a 68 -_-

  • I know his guitar is a 68 but angus youngs guitar really was a 70

  • i know that but angus has a 68 also. remember he got like 8 different SG's

and on stage he actually uses an 68 live. he have modified it himself.

  • No it's a 68 that he got in 70.

  • no I know that the guy in the video has a 68 but angus young really used a 70 even his new sig sg is a 70 look at SOLODALLAS videos

  • i think angus used like all the sgs made he also owns a tele and fire bird but only uses SGs live

  • @xHvyMtlx No angus young never had a 1968 he had a 1970-71. Check my channel for my angus young guitar videos...

  • yes, the guitar in the video had the 1 & 9/16th's nut width. I actually like the narrower necks for certain things. Some people hate them... The early '65 I bought does have the wider 1 & 11/16ths nut width and the fabulous slim neck profile that Gibson had from '63, '64 and early '65.

  • It's a guitar I owned, but sold in October to a local player. I bought a '65 SG Standard to replace it and the '65 SG Special I also sold.

  • yupp...original saddles.

  • One sick guitar. What i would do for one of those.

  • Great playing and great guitar:D

Just wish you would have turned the amp up.

  • It's actually a '63 blond bassman turned way up, but with a hotplate between the amp and speakers.

  • Ok. Would be great to hear it with an old Marshall.

  • I really need a good paying job to buy an SG like this, god i love it.

Amp settings aren't really ac/dc'ish but doesn't really matter for a selling demo.

    Good luck selling it btw.
