has not been able to lead a normal life. Never married.Always haunted by the

Romania, was stripped of 2 regions in 1941. Transylvania was given to Hungary and Russia took Basarabia! The nationalist movement had just the spark to ignite! Hate was everywhere those days! It's not an excuse, but a motive, a strong one!

In the end Antonescu and his ilk were shot, the Legion crushed!

Yes, if it is self defense. When has a country attacked another and not claimed, -and its people even believed- that it was self defense? Very few cases indeed. It is a very fine line to cross between defense and attack. Between defending a right (to life, for example) and doing the very opposite.

@NicosNicosNicosNicos After Israel removed military and civilian populations from the West Bank & Gaza Strip more than 8 years ago, so-called Paestinians have had NO rason whatever to fear Israel or attack Israel. Yet, Hezbollah, ten Hamas, continued to fire rockets at civilian population centers in Israel, not the least of all including Sderot! For 8 years this has persisted! I would emphatically call Israel's retaliation and protection of is citizens self-defense.

Ok about "protection of its citizens" but what about attacks on civilians? Missiles on the beach, devastation of Gaza, destroying the houses of RELATIVES of suspects (just emphasis,not shouting! :)). You can take a look and compare/contrast targets of the IDF versus targets and points of origin of rocket fire to and from Israel versus the same to an from Gaza. Must I also point out the vast differences in each from each side?

Whereas, targets of the IDF are military or militarized zones with armed civilians and weapons caches in civilian zones, rocket fire from Gaza emanate from civilian population concentrations, civilians beingused as shields for counter-offensive weapons, etc. I can go on "ad infinitum".... as in every war, some weapon fire will inevitably strike civilians, but, in th case of the terrorists, their rockets are fired indiscriminately and maliciously targeted at civilian centers.

I'm a romanian, and sadly most of my countrymen, still hold Antonescu to their hearts! They have no idea about the Iasi pogrom, nor the Odessa genocide, where the romanian army killed over 50000 people! I was shocked when i learned of this! Hopefully, someone should make a film or something!

@unomnacajit111 PART 1:You clearly know geography mate, Odessa is the capital city of the province of Odessa that held around 180000 people, TWANK! The Iasi pogrom is highly documented with pictures of people being shot in the streets and rounded up in trains, pictures of jews being dead and exited from the trains do exist today still.

Not to mention the massacres that the Iron Guard did in bucharest during the unrests in 1941. The jews rushed back to Romania looking for shelter.

@unomnacajit111 PART 2: The policy of Antonescu and the Iron guard, coupled with antisemitic attitude and anger towards loosing Basarabia and Transylvania, generated the Iasi Pogrom. That doesn't mean that all the romanians hated the jews, like most all of the germans did. Many jews were sheltered by us. But such were the times. And now is the time to take responsability for those crimes. In my country there was a recent debate about this and no one denied the war crimes of Antonescu.
