Actually, the translation is perfect. Most Germans/foreigners can't understand and call it bad or improper English because it's incomprehensible for you to interpret the way we speak metaphorically in our every day speech.) This translator did a perfect job. I speak fluent German but I am born American.
@Jirkenz131 it is target-language biased translation for sure, so a lot of it is not precisely translated. Which is ok for song lyrics - however, there is no such thing as a "perfect" translation - there is different approaches that may or may not work in a given situation (think of e.g. "I love you" and how it is used compared to "Ich liebe dich" - it might as well mean "Ich hab dich lieb" in German, which has very different connotations)
@ChockedBazooka Same goes for when I said that the translation is "perfect". I meant that not literally, I only used the word to emphasize that the translation was accurate and precise enough to surpass simple and basic translation.
