  • I think if a kid is mature enough and doesnt act like a 6 year old then y not let them play mature games.

  • The amount of kids who are being immature, ranting and swearing in the comments saying "F off, I can do what I want, F the law, F the ESRB, F your responsible opinion" etc just goes to show what is going wrong with parenting today. :/

Why have a problem with parents, the ESRB and the law being responsible and keeping kids away from stuff that isn't meant for them in the first place? Do they feel like they are untouchable and deserve to do whatever they want, whenever they want or something?

  • If you can't look at this responsibly, rationally and can't understand why it happens in the first place, and why it is important, then resort to immature name calling, while blatantly having no concept of the responsibility of kids as an adult, and for future generations, and the need for a rating system to be adhered to, you are just showing that you don't understand at all and are probably one of those kids, which is why adults are obligated to THINK about this, since kids obviously aren't.

  • @LoveDoujinshi all those retarded ideas of young kids ending up as murderers and psychopaths after playing such "inappropriate" are a load of shit ... many gamers like myself agree the only times that kids and adults alike would even THINK of killing or hurting people after playing videogames are those with mental problems beforehand, those are the ones who need to be banned from such games. Quite frankly, I don't blame those poor kids for being upset and frustrated (continued in next post)

  • @hakukashi And you decided to think that I personally think watching/playing violent games/movies etc makes kids violent themselves. If you read my post properly, I never said that. I know it isn't true. Only an idiot thinks that. What I am saying is that an 8 yr old kid should not get their hands on an 18 rated game, for obvious reasons. When they are teenagers, that is a different matter. It is up to the parents what they want to do, if they feel their kids are mature enough.

  • But a kid that hasn't even started puberty yet? That is irresponsible as a parent. They have their whole lives to watch mature stuff. Not only that, young kids are impressionable, they get scared more easily too. I am not saying that it makes them violent, but we don't know exactly what will happen. Giving them something that isn't intended for them isn't something to take lightly. Let kids be kids for the short time they have. A responsible adult understands that.

  • I am not butting into peoples lives. I am saying that stuff that isn't meant for kids, and for good reason, should not be given to such young kids. A small 7 year old kid wants horror? Give them Goosebumps, not something like Saw. Not only is that responsible, it helps stop idiot people like Fox news saying "think of the children!!" and trying to ban and censor games meant for adults.

  • Have some insight. You wouldn't show porn to a 7 year old, just like you wouldn't show extreme gore to them.

  • @LoveDoujinshi my bro and i did sit him down and tell him the difference between fantasy and reality. Of course, I DO have my insight. when adults do know that kids already know that kids understand the difference between fiction and reality, and STILL ban them access to such games/films, it really makes me sad and angry. kids may be young, and not as experienced in life as the adults, but it doesn't mean the adults should just blatantly disregard their opinions and views, and impose restriction

  • @LoveDoujinshi don't worry. I assure you, i never said you were butting in, when I said "an overprotective bunch of so-called wise, mature and knowledgeable adults are BUTTING IN into THEIR private lives", i meant the idiots like the managers and other higher ups working at places gamestop who decide what those poor kids get to buy and what not. But you did say "that stuff that isn't meant for kids, and for good reason, should not be given to such young kids". So i would like to point this out

  • It's the law. They could get sued/sacked, it is illegal, at least, where I live. I don't think it a problem to refuse someone without ID, many older gamers feel this way. I was 19, tried to buy Aliens, had to show ID. That's being responsible. You must be young, other wise you wouldn't have a problem with this. Kids don't have a say in the law until they are older. No offense meant by this, but you are sounding spoilt and immature right now. The certificate system has been made for a reason.

  • @LoveDoujinshi well, i dunno 'bout any law, but ... when you say things like "You must be young, other wise you wouldn't have a problem with this", and "you are sounding spoilt and immature right now", sadly, you've only proven my point that you sound like one of those insensitive, unreasonable adults who hide behind the rules and refuse to hear things from a kid's point of view. Also, just because of my opposition to this enforcement, you automatically call me immature and spoilt?

  • @hakukashi And see you did just prove my point also. You had no idea that it was illegal in some countries. You do not fully understand. Adults try to understand the point of view of kids, but kids don't know as much as adults. We HAVE to be responsible for you. Things you see as restrictions are not so. Kids are still young and naive. There is a difference between excessive restrictions and being responsible for your kid. You have to be strict at times, but strict does not mean enforcement.

  • @LoveDoujinshi like we agreed on, violent game don't make violent kids (excluding the mental ones). the whole idea of not letting kids play violent games is so they don't get violent, correct? Then why ban them from playing such games, if they don't go psycho?i know and understand that kids should be kids, but it doesn't mean they should be banned from watching whatever films or playing whatever games they want. I feel like these adults are only banning kids to make themselves feel better.

  • @LoveDoujinshi also, regarding the fact you said that an "8 yr old kid should not get their hands on an 18 rated game", well, i'd like to politely point this out. i have a friend whose 6 (could be younger, i forgot) year old kid bro did play GTA: San andreas ... and he's a real nice kid, completely normal. also, my really young cousin, roughly 5 years of age, did play Left4Dead 2 on my pc; he didn't seem traumatized or anything, needless to say, my bro and I DID sit him down and tell him

  • @hakukashi Some kids may get traumatized, some may not. Depends really. But there is absolutely no good reason to want this system gone. It still doesn't stop the fact that these games were intended for adults and not for kids. And we still do not know psychologically if it affects a developing child or not. As such, you should have no problem with people not allowing a kid to wander into a store and buy a game which has mature themes. Sex, violence, kids don't fully understand such things.

  • @LoveDoujinshi You may see it as unfair, but hey, remember Kevin "That is SO unfair!" But it still does not mean that giving a child something so extreme should be legal and OK, as there needs to be bounds set in place. A parent is supposed to look after a child. We have to be responsible for them and to do what we think is best. Until we know for sure that it has absolutely NO side effects to a still developing child, then these things should be in place until then.

  • @LoveDoujinshi Yes, all parents are responsible for their kids, and I would be too, if i were one, but instead of getting all paranoid and overreactive over them getting their hands on such stuff, we should sit them down, point out the contradictions between the games/films and reality, and teach them how to be ethical, responsible law abiding people with a sense of right and wrong, fair and unfair. about the developing child, well, I can somewhat understand you fears, but seeing the majority

  • i'd seen the majority of today's kids play such games, and hey, they'd all turned out fine. at doesn't take a revolutionary genius to figure out fantasy and reality. that's basic common sense, even a 9 year old today knows that. of course, you'd have the occasional autistic retard who's an exception to this rule ... now if you say that the reason why ratings are enforced is to prevent idiots in Fox news and retards like Jack thompson from going apeshit ... I have nothing to that defence.

  • Yeah I am going to stop this convo since you called me a "retard". I may have Aspergers, not totally autistic, but I am on the autistic spectrum. So I don't want this to continue. This will be my last post. All I got to say is this, if the majority of parents don't step up and take responsibility for their actions, the government may have no choice but to do it for them, by either restricting parents or restricting games, maybe both. And no one wants that. Me included. I like my gory games.

  • @LoveDoujinshi whoa, whoa, hold on, please wait. no one said you're a retard, i mean, people like Jack thompson, not you. We all know parents have to be responsible, that's a fact. when did I ever say you're a retard?

  • "you'd have the occasional autistic retard who's an exception to this rule"

Anyway, like I said, if parents are not going to really care about the certificate system in place, and really think, understand and do research on what they are giving their kids, then something may have to be done about it, as it is a problem for many. I want more awareness with parents. But we all know what governments are like. If a government intervenes, they will force a nanny state.

  • Anyway, I have had enough. I don't like arguments or debates. I am just putting my thoughts across as to why it is so important to be responsible for your kids, because kids and adults alike can suffer for it otherwise.

  • @LoveDoujinshi hold on, when i said "you'd have the occasional autistic retard who's an exception to this rule" i meant those kids unable to tell the difference between fantasy and reality, NOT you. Don't worry. I didn't shoot you down. I assure you from the bottom of my heart. Of course, I would be happy to end this debate on a friendly, gentlemanly note. also, I have nothing to say at the part when you say that the gov. might step in, and fuck up the entire gaming industry, you have a point.

  • @hakukashi OK, I also would like this to end on a friendly note too.

  • @LoveDoujinshi well, i personally think that ESRB, as a guideline, and not law, is fair enough. As a law, that's too far. Can't have the gov' playing the nanny. I know such games WERE aimed at adults, no denying so, but i still feel that if a 12 year old thinks he's up to playing it, then by all means, he should, it's a personal choice. and as for the developing child, well, he should be exposed to OTHER things, like say, keeping a pet, playing a sport, etc. Now that's thoroughly balanced.

  • That is what I am trying to say. Teenagers (that may include 12 year olds depending on the parent) should be able to have a say in this, and if you can prove to your parents that you are mature and responsible, that is great. The parents and teenagers should be able to work things out themselves and listen. But exposing young kids to these things is never a responsible thing, even if it does turn out it has no side effects. But hey, up to the parents. Just hope they see sense. :/

  • @LoveDoujinshi (from last post) it doesn't take a genius to figure out why those kids HATE the system. After all, an overprotective bunch of so-called wise, mature and knowledgeable adults are BUTTING IN into THEIR private lives, and playing moral guardian, deciding what they can and can't do, all under the BS of "protecting them". I can bet that more than half of those idiot adults forgot the joys of youth, and thus treat kids like they're unable to differentiate between fantasy and reality.

  • I like this topic. Most kids play video games to escape reality, however. People stay in that reality, and doesn't know whats fact and fiction, take COD (Call of Duty) for example, people think you run around with guns with-out ROE. Its entirely wrong, parents should educated more when they play video games, once you know its a M+ rated game which there are contents on the back, I totally agree with you. They should enforce the ESRB education. Don't be so nervous next time. :P

  • the problem is they are giving m games where they kill people. to children who are still developing their view of right and wrong. that can seriously damage them.

  • @awesome9001 Oh fuck u ass cunt. I am a 14 and I'll do whatever the FUCK I want, I love GTA, I hate people deciding things 4 kids without our consent.

  • @TheMrSpartanking if your 14 then its fine. i mean like 7-12 year olds.

  • Dude No Big Deal My Mum Lets Me Watch R Movies And I Can Play MA Games!

  • 10 min of my life wasted

  • t games are ok i guess of a kid, just check the game some games will scare or traumatize them honestly *twisted metal black any one =/ ? but if your child's honestly under 13 dont buy him m games please it fucking kills the experience online

  • Who gives a crap about ratings anymore. When I played with my cousin on call of duty no one cared so there you go no one cares today.

  • it would actually be good if parents would stop buying headsets/mics for their kids. That's the biggest problem in my opinion related to other gamers ability to enjoy an online game. M or not. Kids always screaming and cursing and trying to get you to do something you know is just retarded. Like moving out of cover when a sniper is still hidden.

Taking mics away from kids, older gamers wouldn't really know if it was a kid or not and wouldn't have to suffer their voice. out of sight out of mind.

  • @ocarinaplaya I'm 14 and i mute everyone, it's fucking bullshit when someone sits and yells in the mic..

  • my first m game was Gta 3

  • The ESRB sucks, they shouldnt decide on what the game should be rated, the parents do, and not by them just letting the ESRB make up their mind, I tried to convince my dad that halo reach shouldnt be rated M because i looked on the back of the cover and all it said was blood and violence, STUFF that a RATED T game would have

  • @PhoenixKing0617 any form of mutilation counts buddy old pall

  • I agree, & 4 all u fuckin dumbass parents out there who "I'm 2 busy 2 worry bout games" I say "MAKE TIME U FUCKIN CUNT"

  • This fag is the gayest gay faggety fag of all the gay faggety fags in all of gay land....and he's a homo...

  • M games are better!

  • You are such a douchebag. We can ALL play whatever the fuck we want. You or any other asshole who cares what games people play can kiss my ass!

  • @MiniGoofyGoober it's actually good that ESRB is trying to keep douchebag kids off M games. Can't tell you how many times i've had to mute kids since they keep yelling, cursing, giving orders and then dying.

  • Look at me, i have posters of Rated M games on my wall, and I like to make videos about why children like me shouldnt play these games because im tired of 8 year olds screaming at me on xbox live. because im evil like this, i think kids should not enjoy their games even though it was proven it does not affect them!

  • fuck this shit ill play any rated M games i want beech

  • This video is really boring but I really like what your trying to say I'm 14 and I really respect this video to bad there is so many small kids out there that like M games... But some parents out there do not care about there kids enough so wen a kid what's a game they will buy it for them with out even looking at the game so the kids parents don't have to here them cry or wine over something... I wish they would just get

Rid of M games for good... All kids see In games is fun they can't see th

  • Screw ESRB! If the parent feels that the kid is mature enough to play the game, then let them. I know a kid who gets in trouble every day for violence at school, he's not allowed to play any kind of FPS, and he shouldn't. The things I hear at school are way worse than video games.

    ESRB is full of idiots.

  • @xFalloutVids High School is nothing compared to M-Rated Games.High school is MUCH worse than a M-Rated game ever will be.

  • shut the fuck up nigs im 12 and i rape ur assS with my intervention

  • Who cares about ratings?!?!?!! Why don't you just let kids be happy? Some people need to mind thier own damn bussines and really need to fuck off and leave kids alone! I mean, what do you expect, a kid who plays gta 4 to go out shooting people? JUST LEAVE THEM ALONE!

  • This guy is obviously an ESRB robot. He thinks no matter how mature someone like say,12 is,they can't handle an M rated game. This guy doesn't know that not all rated M games aren't bad, like Perfect dark,He basically judges a game on it's rating, not the content that makes the game have that rating.

  • @melikevideos64 Same with me,sort of,my dad let's me play M games,he just doesn't seem very comfortable with me playing them,but my mom doesn't give a shit.

  • The M rating is really predjudous{spelling?} Some kids are mature enough to handle gore, sex and violence, others aren't,so the ESRB basically is basing their rating around a unch of children with an IQ of 60,sure,on CoD those little fuckers with mics are annyoing, but that's why there is a mute button,so stop siding with the ESRB people.

  • im 14 and i think there right some kids shouldnt get the rated m games if there parents dont think there muture enough i get rated m games so what i enjoy it but its just over doing it if you band mature games thats just stupid but one thing is that more kids want to have sex when there really young

  • are you a filipino me too

  • ive been playing m rated games since i was six and i turned out fine

  • HEY FUCK YOU AND THE ESRB M RATED GAMES R WHAT I WANNA PLAY I WAS PLAYING MY FIRST M RATED GAME WHEN I WAS IN 4TH GRADE SO FUCK OFF BITCH NOW IM 13 AND IM PLAYING COD6, GTA IV, BF BAD COMP 2, SPLINTER CELL CONVICT, RED DEAD AND MY PARENTS DONT REALLY CARE AT ALL UR PROBABLY JUST SOME WIMPY PS2 FAN PLAYING DORA THE EXPLORER ALL DAY CUZ UR FATASS MOMMA DONT LET U PLAY GOOD GAMES WATS THE MATTER? MARIO KART WII TOO VIOLENT FOR U?

  • @nigahiga6400 ok dude i agree with you but calm down...

  • @hieldjiv I touched a pair of tits at that age 0.o

  • Dude I'm 11. I've been playing halo since i was 7, and all my games are rated M except for 2. The only game I have that are not rated M are Skate3 and ForzaMotersport3. I have never even thought of actually killing somone and have never injured someone. ESRB is stupid, hands down.

  • I GOT MORTAL KOMBAT WHEN I WAS 10

  • F.U.B.

    Fuck

    U

    Bitch

  • i got gta san andreas @ age 7

  • The esrb can suck it, life is worst than a video game.

  • your a retarted nerd . i agree with shutterphotography. lets all enjoy our gaming life. you just dont want people to buy kids these games so they dont annoy you while your gaming wit your nerd friends. crimes happen because of irisponsible parents who treat their kids wrong, its not video games you dumbass. also put use some acne cream or something you look really nasty

  • my parents caught me watching this and now they checking the ratings =,= why did u have to makes this vid!(my parents are mexican)

  • this is bull shit

  • i got gta 4 at age 11

  • for some reason it all depends on the kid whos playing it if a kid knows the difference between reality and not reality i mean have you heard one incident where a 10 year old kils 10 people because of a video game its just a game i mean you watch cases of murder on the news and war when some rated m games kids play are rated that because you shoot aliens that arent real (halo)

  • i walked 2 miles to my nearest gamestop to buy mw2 and they didn't let me buy it -_- cuz im only 12

  • See that's what annoys me. How parents are willing to blame these games yet dont blame themselves for buying the damn game in the first place!!! I remember I saw a young boy no older than 8 im guessing wanting his mum to buy him "Bad Company" (im guessing because of the smiley face on the cover) and instead to telling the boy to put it back shhe actually took it and thought about buying it for her son. I mean come on!!! It was clearly marked 16+ and she still thought about buying it. Crazy.

  • FUCK THE ESRB! Lets all enjoy our gaming life, cmon. What kid whould srsly go kill someone because of the game? If so, then the kid needs to be put in a mental hospital.

  • I always think people consider blaming games as a scapegoat to their own foolishness. Ie."My son stole a car" ding Grand Theft Auto "My son shot people" ding Any fps they can get their accusing hands on. Most of the time, it usually underage children that commit these crimes. So who i really to blame when they should not have the game in the first place?

  • @ShutterPhotograpghy i agree who in the right mind would kill anyone

  • @ShutterPhotograpghy YEA THIS MUTHAFUCKA DONT KNOW THE FUCK HE TALKIN BOUT THATS WHAT SOME POLICE OFFICERS COME IN AND SAY THAT IF U PLAY GTA THEN UR GONNA SHOOT UP THE SCHOOL WTF? THIS GUY PROBABLY PLAYS DORA THE EXPLORER ON HIS PS2 ( NOTHING AGAINST THE PS2 OR SONY) AND HIS MOM THINKS MARIO KART WII IS TOO VIOLENT PROBABLY

  • @ShutterPhotograpghy Incorrrect

    8 LIFES REMAINING.

Mental hospital is the wrong part.

  • @ShutterPhotograpghy Yeah this guy is a fucking dumbass!!!

  • @ShutterPhotograpghy dude i kid shot his friend with a rifle cause they were playing god of war.

  • @ShutterPhotograpghy You have to know that the game is NOT REAL to play it

  • @ShutterPhotograpghy I agree,it's just some people are too stubborn to see that.

  • @ShutterPhotograpghy hold on. While i totally agree with you, I need to make a slight amendment to your statement ... maybe the ESRB isn't totally to blame? maybe the real buttholes and dipshits here are places like GameStop? Cos I've heard that some cunts behind the counter actually seem to ENJOY carding, playing the moral police and, deciding what those poor kids get to play and what they don't? After all, I heard that it was a STORE policy, and not law. I find it hard to imagine it being law

  • Its a game not a bag of kush.

  • the problem with parents that DO listen to the esrb system and dont let theyre kid play like M rated games or something is the "M" rating is such a wide range like Halo 3 is "M" but its not that bad but GTA 4 has an "M" rating and its much worse content wise. I think they need like a rating in between T and M like they did E10 in 2005. maybe like a T15 ot OT or something.

  • the parents are stupid because they buy the game without looking at the esrb

and then get mad when they find the kids with the violence

THAT FUCKING CONFUSES THEM IT CONFUSED ME AS A CHILD

  • they ARE FUCKING GAMES GET OVER IT.

  • i have rated m games my mommy buys them for me...just because some one on sanandreas stole a car and shot some one doesnt meen im going to do it and my mom is fully aware of the ratings she no's i am mature.

  • Parents in America are REAL communist in this country.

  • I'm 11, and I have a BUNCH of M games. But that is the probably least of things affecting child behavior. I notice a LOT of the kids at my school already have at least 15 Airsoft guns, most of them younger than me. Some of them have real guns. I'm getting made fun of for being a "Goody Twoshoes," knowing I have more M games than most of them. All of those kids are jerks. So SHUT UP about kids being affected by M games. Go rant on the airsoft guns, those are the problem.

  • I dont give a crap about what my parents buy me. I only care if its halo, i hate halo.

  • What happens if a 13-year old plays Fall out 3, is that bad?

  • Em not rly beside's most 13-16 year old's are alot more mature than most young adult's....

  • k --------

  • you just have to let them know what is the difference between real life and games

  • @TheNikeairforce1s i tried to do that and they dont listen but i am aloud to have rated m games but just like cod or halo or oblivion.

  • Great video. if people didn't complain there would not have to be a stupid rating system.

  • with some games the ratings go up for the series...

like first series T then next one M

  • My mom just tell me dont copy this is all fake she been coming with me since i was 9 to buy M games

  • Im 13 and iM allowed to get like any M game except for GTA 4. And i honestly think that halo 3 should be rated Teen

  • seriously i have halo 3 and it's not bad at all no excessive blood.

  • You just happen to take out Wolfenstein when a sequel-or-prequel is here ^^

  • hey you arnt convincing anyone exept parents buddy you aint gonna get more positive comments with shit like this. oh and one more thing, im 15 and im smart enough to know right from wrong

  • hell im 15 to and these faggets think violent video games are and i have been playing games all of my life and they did nothing to me.

  • exactly, i wish they would actually pay attention and not just assume all kids that play M rated video games are going to become extremly violent

  • go with a adult that dont know english and buy a m game. thats wat i do some times or buy on internnet

  • im 12 in 7th grade and in middle school i hear 4x more swearing than any game ive ever played

  • Now, I am 13. My parents only allow me to buy rated m games IF they approve! If they don't approve, I can't get that game.

For example: I cannot get GTA because it's a terrible game and for sure needs an M rating. With L4D, it's just killing zombies, therefore I am allowed.

  • well dude my freind buys so much games lol..his parents dont care and if he beat the game and get all thropys (ps3) he gives dem to me..

  • same thing with me only my moms more strict about it and im 15

  • middle schools and high schools are much worse than any rated m game

  • Besides nudity and sex in games.

  • Life is worse than some M games. xD

  • @babygangster911

    Yeah, do grown-ups think we're f*cking stupid?

  • @babygangster911 hell when i went to elementry school it was worse then gta

  • @babygangster911

Completely agree. most kids around 13 have already seen a pair of tits. and their parents wont let them play T games. its hilarious.

  • him:how parents should be productive in what the y buy me:FUCK OFF FAGGOT FUCK THE LAW (SLAP) (SLAP) (BACKHAND) BITCH!!!!!!

  • shutup go jackoff in your closet

  • I use to work at a game stop, and this one parent were trying to buy there 8 year old son Riddick: escape from butcher bay. And i was pretending that something was wrong with there credit card and couldn't buy the game, cause i knew they were gonna just buy the game for him. I even read the parent the content that was in the game and its like she was ok for that, and i just couldn't let that stand.

  • @GordonFreeman70 Lol, that could haved went to the gamestop somewhere else. Thats just dumb, she was going to buy it, anyways lol.

  • i went to gamestop to get resident evil 5 and the guy told my mom it wasnt rated M. Not that she cared but im just pointing that out

  • Honestly, Halo 3 is suitable for (not including multiplayer) anyone 12 and up.

  • U just like my Mom! she lets me play e and e10 games onlii!! haha well i still play T games but i cnt play M games!!

  • HOLY HELL?!?! thats new

  • dude am 12 all my games r matuire i buy them by myself at target i live in california 2 haha

  • dude shut up.. thats impossible for you at that age to even purchase rated M games. besides purchasing them, you also need to show identification to prove that you are 17 or older. i bet your mommy still buys your games for you. if i were you, i'd wait till im 18 becas the fact is that all your going to do is spoil urself buying M games that young. grow up kid

  • hahaha thats whats up im 12 too nd basicly all the games i have are rated M practicly the only games i buy r m cuz they da best

  • the higher the rating the better

  • haha fa reals tho

  • this guy is such a fag who cares if a game is m

  • i do... got a problem.. this dude has a point about parents buying rated M games for there kids. and thats stupid.

  • i dont who carez if it m,just dont become or let the acts in the wreal world,am i right?

  • I say they should enforce the rule of the M rated games more if a child attempts to buy a M rated game and the clerk denies him and then he comes back with his or her mom,dad or granparents to get them to buy it then the clerk should have the right to say no to that individual.

  • ERBS can go fuck them self

  • Yeah man ! I went to gamestop the other day and this 9 year old kid was trying to buy GTAIV and once the guy at the register told him it was M and all that shit the kid just fucking flipped out and the dad went ahead and bought him the game anyways . WTF ! Children these days are fucking spoiled and what we need to do with games is what we do with porn seperate them entirely from T and E games and sell them at a store where you can only get in if your 18+ Am I right !that will stop this a litlle

  • you need to shut up. kids need to learn about the real world. gangs, danger, what could happen if you be a smart ass in new york

  • I already know about those ratings. But thanks anyways.

  • Issues in life: Parent Over Obsessing About ESRB Ratings. I own tons and tons of MATURE, yes 17+ games, did I kill anyone? NO! all I did was bomb a building. Or two. Ok seriously, If anyone that stupid and udderly retarted to think because Alex Mercer on Prototype is going on a killing spree they should too, should consult a doctor and get their brain checked. Anyone stupid enough to think anyone would actually kill because of it, when you saw a action movie did your kid terrorrize the theatre?

  • Clearly there is a moral boundary between slathering hundreds of human animations and knocking up a 7/11 with daddy's revolver. Politicians and soccer moms who believe the reason violent crimes happen are because of video games are wrong. Crimes are even so present and will still be ever so present when games are whipped of the face of the earth. Anyway the only reason politicians have not banned game yet is B/C the help our economy to much for them to do so...

  • look at the fucking commets faggot

  • You can try as hard as you like dude, but no one can stop this! Stop trying to because your not! I own like 30 games rated Mature and I'm 13. Some kids are more mature than others. Plus: If kids couldn't buy M rated games, have of the game publishers would be out of business. Don't try and stop kids because you can't. READ ALL OF THE OTHER COMMENTS!

  • ur a dumbass i shot some one in the game let me go grab a weapon of the ground and shoot them i mean wtf

  • well im sure this dude iant a parent and will never be, cuz for that he will need a WIFE, which oviously as we can all see he will never have

  • ya dude ur right cola3945 i was rippin on that faggot FLIP not u sry if u thought i was

  • u seme to slurr u words. is that froom the giant choad in you mouth faggot

  • your talking to FLIP right?

  • Okay ,seriously. Let's start world War II over it.Why should you try to hide things in rated "M" games from kids.

I know that there are parents who look at the label on the back of games to see if they want there child playing those games.

But c'mon there isn't anything secret in any type of video game out there that kids don't already know about.I feel sorta sorry for those kids out there who can't play rated "M" games against there will.HANDS DOWN!!

    LET PEOPLE ENJOY LIFE!!!!

  • my parents don't care at all

  • some don't, especially the older the child is.

  • yeah, I'm 14 and my mom bought me oblivion (M)

  • UR 15 LOL did u know OBLIVION is 16+ now its not MATURe here in NORWAY so if ur 14 yearsold so2 years later u can PLAY IT ALLOWED so what concole or pc do u play it on

  • umm.. I'm 14...i just said that...

  • right o

  • do you like oblivion

  • Yeah, haven't played it in awhile though. (it's been months since I posted the original comment, lol, i believe fable: tlc is awesome, too)

  • this sucks my mom wont let me get Halo 3!!! its jacked

  • btw in gamestop the cashier tells the parents what its rated m for

  • ratings are just plain dumb, they think that kids would just murder for violence. It was actually proven by a (now rich) scientist that video games actually higher peoples self-esteem. When you get a huge kill streak and win a game you feel great and also video games are for things you cant do in real life. I cant drive a chevrolet corvette because I dont meet the "age limits" (ageism!! I WILL DRIVE I WILL!!) and you can shoot in videogames but its against the law in real ife. Video games4ever!.

  • i am 13 and i have gta4 ha ha ha ha

  • @raamish321 arent you a badass for having gta at the age of 13...

  • The ratings suck. I think teens should have freedom to buy the games... But whatever, if the parents don't wanna buy it, it's ok for me, since it's their money. But I think ESRB should disappear, the disclaimers are enough.

Halo doesn't have strong language, and THERE IS strong language on ALL public schools I've been. It's just dumb.

You should see the readings that some english teachers give.

  • theres one thing that i dont get about ESRB the games is that Halo3 is rated "M" and so is GTAIV but theres a huge difference btween GTAIV n Halo3 but theryre still both rated M

  • ok come on now parents

simply if ur child does something wrong WHOOP THEM

get a belt get a giant wooden board thing just WHOOP THEM

it has worked with thousands of children in the past why not now

  • i bought saints row 2 no problem and i am 10

  • I totally agree with you because rated m games are way to violate but if your 13 or older i think you should be able to play them but i would only do it for really mature 13 year old

  • if the goverment and game companys is complaning so much about us kids playing those games then why dont they bann them.oh ye they just want to make more money

and the shopkeepers are so dumb that they let the parents buy them when have of them probbaly already know the games are for there kids!!!!!

  • and i know you have no life because you are the kind of person who spends their weekends alone flaming and trolling the internet...

  • im 8 and i play gears 1 and 2 so you are a peice of poo

  • im 12 and ur a NOOB!!

  • I'm 13 and I play Turok, socom us navy seals, alone in the dark, and twisted metal black.
