This reminds me of a time on TV during the 80's, and artist was asked to do a picture using MS Paint. He did pretty well with it, but was then asked 'could programs like this take over from brush and paper?'. Of course he said 'no way'.
The value of traditional artwork is not based on the actual quality of the art. It is more to do with pretentiousness, self-promotion, fame, personality, mental illness, and death! I'm sure similar 'values' will develop for digital art.
The biggest difference is that digital art is inherently easier to copy because it needs to be printed at some point. Many people will be conceited about that.
Perhaps for this reason digital art will develop as an extension of photography, rather than competing directly with paint and canvas? It has a lot more in common with photography as a finished medium.
oh by the way i have corel painter its kinda the same but what type of Size and Opacity and grain percentage is that for drawing the out -ine ? would like to know.
