To bridge these gaps, you have to convince those individuals to choose a better life for themselves. It is so easy to victimise a whole segment of society. If your Mom is on crack, waiting for the welfare check to buy her next hit, your chance of success are limited. Yet it is not the fault of society, but that of stupid people having more and more kids, expecting the society to pick up the pieces. I agree with tages1980. The only way to close all these gaps have to be through education. Without an education, you will make less money, you will have a higher unemployment rate, you cannot afford a house in a safe area, and you will not be able to afford health care (changing now). The incarceration rate and the murder rate are linked, since most of the murders are black-on-black crime, so locking up career criminals will actually make black neighborhoods safer.

This makes me wonder how Pesident Obama feels at what all he is dealing with. Today, I heard the news say, They think he is going to fast...no he is not this is just the way he is...He Cares.
