  • Great voice but a little on the dry side as he sings a little too open. Because he produces a sound that is very far back in his throat and the voice is large it produces a wooden sound. That could easily change with some additional rounding of the vowel or covering but not too much to destroy the sound. (my opinion of course) Will be interesting to watch this voice progress.

  • Voice is placed too far back in the throat and covered as well. Listen to SCHLUSNUSS, TIBBETT, STRACCIARI

  • @MrSkylark1 Nothing good to say? Too far back. That's his choice to make. You still have to appreciate his fine qualities.

  • @rovingdesertfox

Shouting is not singing and a throaty quality is not a choice but rather correct placement, as denoted by the great Giuseppe di Luca

  • @MrSkylark1 This man was not shouting and I have news for you: the voice is first in throat. You cannot avoid that. You can have your opinion, but this guy is singing very well.

  • Absolutely not.7 96824 It(he) has a powerful voice(vote) naturally with a lot(many) of harmonious it is for that that you believe that it(he) makes too much. It of it is? A big baritone verdien. I had the meme probleme when I began, one blamed for me for making too much(many) of it, while I did not force at all

  • Listen to Lawrence Tibbett and Igor Gorin. Loud singing does not equate to beautiful singing. This singer has to learn to sing without making the voice larger than what nature gave him. It loses the sheen.

  • Yes, his performance is a little on the sloppy side, but it's still a fine baritone. I'd rather listen to him than "refined" Hampson any day of the week.

  • Great job. I just posted my version ...

  • I believe the conductor needs a toilet and run with this music so fast. Good voice but poor result because of high speed.

  • Decent voice, but the performance was rushed and a bit sloppy.

  • Bravissimo Vassia.... Now that I live in the "Terre Verdiane" I appreciate more and more your performances in Verdi's operas.... Come soon to Parma or Milano !!!! Michelle

  • Is it true?

Please, don't kidding with these kind of things,Sir!

    I think he's a passionated artist,I didn't want to begin a discussion with anyone of you,Sir!

After all,Gerello is an Italian name.

    (I'm not Italian;i'm a south american one).

    ankhsnammon

  • gerello is a russian name.

  • I was SURE that this master had Italian blood inside his veins!

I know this kind of unchained passion!

    the Napoleon's soldier...was a Neapolitan knight?

    ankhsnammon

  • that is one of the most ridiculous things i have ever heard. italian blood in his veins because he is passionate!!

  • My dear Sir...or Madame...I didn't want to offend you in anyway...or anyone else here...I think he is a very expressive and passionate artist...and,of course!,there are passionate artists in all the countries,too...but I only wanted to put attention in his Italian origins..remote Italian origins...we are talking about the Napoleonic era!

    Forgive me,Sir!

  • This is wonderful baritone.

  • Dear Friend of Him!

Thank you for the videos! please, upload more!

Beautiful, noble voice, and elegant look-out... all you need for Verdi.

  • The conductor here is not Mikhael Sinkevich!!

The conductor for this video is PAVEL BUBELNIKOV!

  • Great performance- Such a great voice! The singer is full of energy and expression! Fantastic support from the orchestra and conductor (could you annaunce the name of conductor?)

  • Tempo seems to be a little bit too fast:)

  • in russia they tend to the fast tempos in italian music.
