Well, in DMC 4 you don't start with the Enemy Step ability that let's you jump off of enemies, you had to buy it... so in a sense it's not a glitch. I bet Capcom knows that people have been doing this for sometime now.

Even in DMC 1, there were a couple of secret missions where you needed to Enemy Hike/Step to get the Blue Orb Fragments.
