I LOVE doing inside out french braids=) it is just like this except you put the hair under each other instead of on top of each other and the braid is on top and not on the bottom. it looks realy good. I just did it on my 5 year old and my 1 year old=) yes her hair is long enogh=)

I'm 12 and I learned from my mother how to do a french braid and a dutch braid. it was very difficult to do it to other peoples hair. but when you practice it is so easy. and then I decided to do it to my own hair and i can do it! :D

@dinocoaster LOL I know how you feel, my mother would do lumpy braids, lop sided pigtails, she would cut my hair..... to my ears when i just wanted like an inch off. I have some bad hair photos from ages 5 to 10, When i was 10 i told her i wanted it cut off, it was just easier. and then i grew it out, and i don't know anything but how to braid, and i had a 5 yr old show me once when i was babysitting. so i feel your pain.

I have really curly hair too, and when I do braids, I always do it with almost soaking wet hair, comb/brush it and use conditioner and gel to make it softer and to get a better grip.

oops, i meant flower barette lol I learned this from my mom, well the layerd ponytail/pigtails and the flowers from my Grandma and the rest just came to me randomly :) i've got too many hair style ideas to list here lol

(continued) and if you want, you can use ribbons to tie into the ponytails as you tie them off or little flowers, or butterfly claw clips or any kind of clawclip as long as thier small or mini. with the ribbons, you can do the top ones normal, then the rest, braid them into the ponytail then tie it off, and put a flower in to help hold it better.

(continued)- and i repeated on the the other side. after we went to Grandma's house and Grandma got a claw clip that had material bunched up on it like a barette with gold beads lining the outside of it and took my half sister's pigtails and pulled them up into a bun and secured it with the clip. it was so pretty. (braiding each ponytail before tying off would be prettier)

I did something similar to that to my half sister's hair (shes 6 years older than me and i was 18 at the time, im 24 now.) i parted her hair like was doing pig-tails, but instead of your usual pigtails, i parted the top part of her hair and did a ponytail, then parted a second section and tied it into the first ponytail and i kept going til it looked like 4 layers into one pig tail.
