Well keep in mind it was the very first video depicting the announcement of The Sims 2, there were still so many ideas. As time went on a lot of the ideas quickly faded and didn't appear in the game (for example weather, which came later in an expansion). But basically, this video shows what you can do in The Sims 2. Grow up and have kids, which is still true.

I remember first seeing this video about 5-6 years ago and being so exited out of my mind. xD

But I wish it was possible for the mom to sit and hold the baby for comfort level and to put the baby to sleep. I love this game to death, but I wish there were actions as we see them on the trailer.

I don't think so. I had the gamecube version and when I sarted to play I was surprised when they wouldn't let you have children or grow old. that may be the same for the ps2. I'd look it up. When I found out that there were no children on my game I got the pc game and never looked back. Without the children and aging, sims 2 is just a glorified sims 1.
