  • how often should i feed it

  • snowflake :)

  • Does anyone know what to do if you are gone for a few days & cant mist and feed? do u just leave some food in there?

  • hope i can find one of those frogs!

  • @briguyers you can find them in rainforest canope, south mexico and theyre called red eyed tree frogs

  • This is so cool. I love Red Eye frogs!

  • @jillianlight thanks i and i got my red eyed tree frog already

  • im getting one and i need to know if they can swim and how often should i feed him?

  • @reptileking510 they dont/cant swim. Mist and keep the terrarium moist along with a water bowl, but make sure that it isnt deep. ~ Feed him every night about 3-5 SMALL crickets if its a young frog.

  • In Belgium when the temperature in the terrarium is 75° - 85° your frog is almost boiling lol

  • how did u put the moss on the water btw realy loved the setup

  • ho did u put the moss on the water btw realy loved the setup

  • how did you get real plants in on the ground of you have a full water base?

  • Really cool terrarium!!! I love it!!! Thx for the info.

  • anybody have to pee after this

  • so so cute

  • to much warmth for the red eyed tree frog can lead to health problems. humidity should be from 70 to 80 degress and if breeding be kept at 75 to 85degress.

  • Is that a waterfall in the backround if so how do u keep it in the tank

  • Nice vivarium! How much did the setup cost you in total?

  • Nice frog! how is she so calm? I have a red eye tree frog and mine can't even sit still when I try to hold him!

  • She's beautifull

  • What about cleaning

  • hey ive got a baby red eye hes about an inch big not even tht maby got any care tips for when there tiny ??? ive got other frogs but there alot bigger (i.e whites ect) but this is the smallest one ive ever gotten so any advice would be good :)

  • @A51Jeremy . Your whites will eat anything smaller than them. and for this i suggest a different terrarium, because even at full size, your red eye will be toward over by the whites

  • hahahah starting at 2:23 it takes a dump.x)

  • The only way to make that cooler would be if you had like some sort of fish in the bottom where that water was

  • How do you feed them when you are away:)

  • cool tree frog:) ~:<

  • that must suck to have to clean

  • Nocturnal?

  • She's beautiful!

  • amazing frog, amazing tank It looks like a piece of rainforest was cut out- i have never seen a vivarium as good as yours, keep up the good work!!!! :)

  • where can you buy a red eyed tree frog i really want one

  • @austinktaylor4 its best to get red eyed tree frogs from captive breeders. check out OZZYTYLER2008. he sells them. im getting a few from him in a couple weeks or so

  • sooooo cute!!!

  • Especially with really good ventilation i'd think above 80% should be fine

  • humid level should be 80-100%

  • @guitargod91000 Thanks for the input, not sure what to do because i've read from several places including books that prolonged exposure to levels above 80% can significantly highten their risk to get bacterial infections. Personally I think anything below 90% should be fine because it's 80% in the rainforest all the time!!!

  • @TheGrizbot No, I would even be careful housing RETFs with other species of frogs, they are very delicate

  • All: What humidity do you keep your RETFs at? Pretty much every care sheet and book I've seen says around 60-80%.but I saw a breeder posted on a forum that he keeps his between 30!!???-50%? A couple other people were saying around 50-60% I think......

  • Do you know if a golden tree frog can live safely with a whites tree frog?

  • i bet its hard to find his poop

  • can i use the same set up for a whites tree frog

  • damn, this enclosure pwns everything i've ever set up -.-'

  • are you able to handle them often?

  • I am thinking about getting 2 red eyed tree frogs dont know when but what would be a good place or site to buy them from? I have a 30gallon that currently houses a snake and i a going to need a lot more plannts but are there any difference between the males and females color? and how would you get like a waterfall or stream running through the tank? Thanks :D

  • @ALoveForOrcas

I got a 2" Male at an exotic pet store for $50 and a 2.5" Female from someone on a Reptile/Amphibian forum (Fauna Classifieds) for $30. Be careful buying directly from individuals because a lotta times they are wild caught so look for diseases. No difference between males and females in color, females get bigger and don't croak

  • The cutest ulgiest thing I have ever owned! lol makes sense, right?

  • I have a red eye tree frog and I use a 25w exo terra sun glow bulb for 10 hours a day and an exo terra 25 w night bulb 24 hours. Any other lighting suggestions, I would appreciate it.

  • what size crikets do they eat

  • @doom2548 1/4 inch crickets are best

  • such a badass frog. nice work man

  • @Madvillain100 FUCK YOU!

  • Comment removed

  • You need to change the battery in your smoke detector.

  • getting one on the 20th xD can't w8!

  • i saw baby red eye tree frogs in the (not tadpoles just maybe a couples days out of water)the were so cute

  • eh, can you put them in a community? like with large green anoles (Large so they dont get eaten) or a salamander, or a fire bellied toad?

  • red eyed tree frogs are ballin

  • Mine do not live my presence I can't even watch them eat without them scrambling for cover

  • were do you get the frog

  • well it can make things easier if u use a fogger

  • As this is a care video, you haven't said that you arn't supposed to handle the poor frog with bare hands, USE A GLOVE

  • how old iz your frog and wats that moss called

  • i wish my red eye was that calm lol, mines an uber spaz, shes very beautiful :D

  • wow i like the colors does that apply to green tree frogs to

  • i got 1 yesterday its a week old

  • would the make a good pet for first time buyer are the easy to care for

  • wow it's really hard to focus on you vid with that water runing, the only thing i heard in my head was....PISS.....PISS....PISS

  • actually you do not need all of those plants or water you just need moss for it to hide under and the humidity and temp is right and u wanna spray exactly 4 times a day just trying to help good luck with ur frogs :D

  • great set-up. I tried to make a vivarium but I dont think its quite as good as yours lol check it out on my channel if you can though..

  • how do you clean a cage like this? besides wiping the glass walls? just spot clean the poop?

  • I really like the waterfall, even though I ran to the washroom every 30 seconds. But this guy's setup is awesome! I love it!

  • how did you get the water fall in there?

  • Comment removed

  • @jtutable i have a water fall in my tank and its pretty easy all you need is a maxi jet powerhead(depending on how fast you want the water fall would depend on the power head) some 1/2'' airline tubing and make it as tall as you want the water fall then it should fit perfectly on the power head but make sure you put it on the peice that shoots out the water then run it up the tank and then you have a water fall

  • when you say crickets what size are you feeding her?

  • Is that water too deep ? If your frog fall it'll drown and die right ?

  • exoterra is expensive here in asia, so I use real plant rather than plastic, it can make your terrarium fresher

  • im getin a red eyed tree frog soon so would a water fall help keep the huminy up

  • were did u get the bamboo

  • whats your water full and plants

  • wat about lighting

  • @AlbertoMuse

I dont think they TL-lightning is OK. no UV necesarry, cause they are active during nighttime.

  • @AlbertoMuse red lighting white light is bad for them

  • Beautiful tank i have five red eyes in a 55 gallon, but icant seem to breed them.

  • beautiful tank, i have 5 red eyes in a 55. Im trying to breed them but, am having little sucess.

  • what size is that tank?

  • I have one =D

and I read that you couldnt handle them which annoyed me a little because your hands are really salty and they absorb all the salt through thier skin and its bad for them

Does anyone agree ? I dont

  • I read that you couldnt handle them because they absorb everything through there skin you cant ha le them because your hands are really salty and its bad for them but i havent a clue weather its correct :(

  • @VaranusPrasinus no its the oppisite i mean like your hands cant have chemicals on it ,.but if anything there skin is toxic if its wild caught

  • how much are they

  • Great setup dude!!

  • She's absolutely beautiful, great set up.

  • My frog died the first 5 days i got it. I had all the requirments. It turned dark green and my other one was still light green. Could the color change have been a sign of something? My other one (the bright green one) is still alive. thanks.

  • @dogboop mine always turns a darker green at night, then its extremly bright green in the day time. I think its blend in with the darkness, i could be wrong but its a good guess. Maybe your one that died came from a bad enviornment and was already sick.

  • nice tank love the bambo

  • Beautiful frog/enclosure. love it.

  • Do I need to have the temp the same as u said and the humidity?

  • how long do they live for?

  • i had a group of 2 males and 2 females that lived 4 years and they were adults when i got them.

i believe average is 8 years under ideal conditions

  • got the same tank

  • that is sick please message me back i need some info if anybody can help please

  • You have a really nice set up and you frogs look awesome!! The real plants really add a lot to the video!! nice! :)

  • Nice setup, but you should show it off more by providing more information or perhaps even a tutorial.

  • FROGS RULE !!!! lol i want 1 =( =D

  • i love frogs

  • my frogs produce a toxin... are red eyed tree frogs safe to hold?

  • ye they are safe to hold

  • @XsnowpeaX yes as,but it isnt always recomended for the fact that they get stressed out easily from it

  • yes they are they cant produce posin

  • That is a gorgeous frog.

  • Where did you get them from and what petstore.

  • Please answere bak, how much does one re deye cost on average?

  • at a shitty petsmart its 50 dollars but you can get one for 30 from a breeder

  • @kirbykid123 Hm... Well I got mine from the pet store for like $50.

  • can u mix them wid American green tree frog

  • do you know what stores sell red eyed tree forgs?

  • pet stores.

lol just kidding. You can find them at most pet stores, but you can also order them online. Just search google for "reptile classifieds"

  • that enclosure would make me want to piss every 5 secs

    good setup thou

  • @Mr66crowley omg lol YES

  • Hi I'm thinking of getting one of these frogs soon, could you tell me if you need a heater to achieve this temp, and is running water essential? As I have seen most people with Red Eyed Tree Frogs using some sort of running water feature. Thanks alot.

  • no a heater is not necessary,it will do well at room temp.red eyes need to be misted at least 3 times a day.

  • I own turtles but im really thinking about getting a pair of red eyes but just learning how to care for them etc.. how do you mean misted them?

  • spray them with a spray bottle 3+ times a day

  • i got mine at a reptile expo a couple weeks ago and shes doing ok, she lives with a whites tree frog too.

  • r they good when you hold them or do they trie to jump away alot and do they need a heat lamp

  • it rly depens i mean like all the frogs r differnt some might h8 it some might love it and i would recomend one unles uve got some ventaltion systim

  • yes they jump all over the place until they get used to being held.you really dont need to use a heat lamp unless you keep the frog at room temp 70%-79%.

  • I'm getting 2 Red eye tree frogs for christmas, can't wait. :)

  • me 2 hopefully :D!!!!

  • Congratulations! Are the red eyed tree frogs boys or girls? What are you going to name them? My mom doesn't like frogs.

  • Really KOOL frog do they swim at all in the water and did u ever think about breeding them

  • are you using any type of heat lamp?

  • amazing frog!

  • sweet setup and nice looking frog, i am thinking bout getting some myself.

  • im gonna be getting one of these guys for christmas...hopefully.

  • I just made a vivarium for my new baby red eye tree frogs, check it out.

  • is this cage a 12"x12"x18" exo-terra? plz reply someone!!!!!!!!! plz =)

  • Yup, definately not big enough to be a 18x18x24, so thats the next step down :)

  • thnx =)

  • wow

  • idk

  • how did u get the waterfall and the moss to float

  • Pet shop, its from Exo-terra (Google ;)

  • thx for responding, im thinking of getting one and i want mine to look like yours, so how do u get the moss to float

  • It is not my video sry :S

But you can get everything from a Pet shop.

The most popular moss is the sphagnum moss.

You can find it at petshops or at some

    Greenhouse.

If you want more information, i recommand you to go on Reptiles/Amphibian forums.

    Have a nice day

  • how much would everything total up to?

  • How Do you make the moss float

  • Omg what a beautiful frog! My friend is getting one she also has a dumpy tree frog.

  • he does its cool!

  • nice setup

  • Sweet hook up man

  • how do i make my exo terra tank half water/ half land? like urs

  • can you use fake plants too? and can they be with other frogs thier same size?

  • Fake plants are as good as growing ones for them

and they can only be kept with their own species

  • cool somthing to put in my 17 gallon tank : ),

  • nice tank, but if u still have that shit load of other frogs, u shud probably take them out and also u shud put like black paper or something around the tank except the front.. this makes the frog feel less stressed because it makes them fell more secure and more alone

  • śliczna żabka :)

  • man, this frog is best of all frogs, without a doubt i really dont care if it sleeps all day and you rarely see it,id just be happy to have one

  • Hi, you're frog must be really happy in that tank because it is lovely bright radient colours

  • you should remove the polystirene back as the crickets tend to eat it an then the polystirene gets in you frogs stomac which is not good.

  • i can u do a misting vid so we can see how it's done??? thanks
