When the playoffs come the real fans turn out and it gets wild. Sort of like Montreal or Vancouver, but when we lose we don't burn our city streets. Classy fans despite our rep. We cheered the Blackhawks as they skated with the Cup. Years ago when Lemieux's last game was in Philly he got a huge ovation. Honestly I don't think that would happen for Sid. Hey, we love Jagr now...after spending years singing Dude Looks Like a Lady! Lemieux and Jagr were never cry-babies, that's the difference.

ESPN and others love to rip the Philly fans. We don't give a damn what any of them say. Really its just the "Northeast attitude" (like Boston and NY too). There is such loyalty to the Flyers because they get top free agents, make trades, etc. when needed. Never stale, always going for it all. Trading Richards and Carter is the perfect example. They did not want to give up the late night drinking. Eagles are getting ripped for lack of effort and changes; hated much more than just losing.

As a bruins fan, I like the flyers more than the canadiens. Because flyers fans are ass holes, but at least they own up to it. They don't act like dick heads, then turn around and gloat about how "classy" they are.
