I HATE to give any advice in fear of sharing any resemblance to the complete and utter moron that is TheFinalReview10, however I just wanted to point out that I felt like some BG music could've contributed a lot to the effectiveness of this.
Amen, TVCity1. Not sure what gets ppls panties in a wad. They need to move out of their parent's basement and maybe get some sunshine on their pasty faces every now and then!
I really admire how you take feedback/criticism and use it for a positive. I think those additions would have added greatly to the overall value!
Everyone else reads a review of their video and gets defensive, thinking their video is perfect and requires no feedback whatsoever. Most entrants missed the point of the contest entirely, namely "TheLaw188" who focused more on winning the powerball rather than the powerball coming to Georgia.
Please refrain from using my screen name on every other contestant's entry, claiming that our video didn't follow the rules, when you obviously have no clue as to what you're talking about. What you're doing is ridiculous and unprofessional, let alone the fact that you have to be one of the saddest excuses for a YouTube critic. Have a Nice Day.
Yes, I took a risk with the way I presented this by leaving the vital information at the end. It's essentially what is known in cinema as a cold open.
It's my personal favorite way of getting a point across. And I also love misdirection type advertisements.
I suppose I could have put a foreground graphic and the word LIVE to make it appear like a live news broadcast. Calling it GNN, Georgia News Network, and just really sell it as a breaking story.
Probably the most creative idea when you look at the other submissions, but you don't get anything about Georgia, the Lottery, or Powerball until the end without any real buildup to make the commercial memorable. The attempt to make this unique to Georgia was just thrown at the audience in the end and the creator was hoping it would stick. Also, the demeanor in the voice of the man calling 911 in the end leaves you wondering if you should have felt the same way about even watching this video.

And to think...I'm not even lucky enough to be Canadian! The Canada film commission rules!
Just so all you hot Canadian women out there know...the Canadian Film Commission makes you hotter. And, I have all the good snow boarding underwear.
Yo Bodyhammer...we need to come up to Rush Con!

Thanks for saying it's the most creative.

Please note, that if the conversation needs to be changed, it's no problem. Whatever makes the commercial more memorable is what we should go with.
The beauty of this video, is that the actors are off camera, so the voice over copy can be replaced by anything that GA Lottery feels is appropriate.
