best tip ever, is learn to teach yourself, cus slowly over time, you learn to pick up music and play it, i recommend you download audacity, cus you can slow down the song, and play the speed you confortable with, then speed it up,, hope i helped ;)

ibanzez are good for very distorted like metal...like system of a down or somethin, epiphone (les paul, gibson) are good for like more bluesy sounds, and Fender are good for like a rock style...it all depends on what you prefer...

It depends what kinda style you wanna play, a Gibson Les Paul is pretty good for everything but they are kinda expensive you can get an Epiphone Les Paul for about $500 or so. but if you wanna play most metal you can buy an Ibanez RG.
