  • What are the levels of the radiation where you are filming? Isn't it dangerous?

  • at 3.40 what was the man talking about to you? and did you learn of what happend to all the apartments after the incident, like how they have goton so "looted" if thats the correct word?

  • @VividGraffiti That room was part of a laboratory and it had samples of plants taken of the greenhouses they were in later. He was saying that those samples where highly radioactive and some would get to 12000 roentgens (the unit to measure radioactivity), hundreds of times higher then normal. The apartments were looted for any valuables inside like copper wiring, metal heaters, etc. and have been in decay from the harsh winters and abandonment.

  • what was all that grass?

  • Great song, Great Video, You guys are great at this! Really interesting place Chernobyl is.

  • 9:21 5000, that will make you radiation poisioned and very sick. Thats why they drive so fast!

  • thanks for the video man, i lived in that country for 13 years and now look back at this is really scary to think that actually happened.

  • That gasmask thing on 3:17 just realy hit me how bad it all was back then..

  • what was on piano?

  • This is so fuckin creepy

  • theres no part 3

  • @izedawidka There is but google removed it from certain countries becuase of the copyright on the obscure audio track i used in it, if you find a youtube proxy you can get round that ;)

  • @firesuite ok, anyway i really liked your videos and this is awesome job. RIP chernobyl.... so sad...

  • @izedawidka i just saw part 3. thou i couldn't find part 2 .

  • @5endstars I talked with the poster hes a really nice guy. he said in some countrys parts are not available :(

  • Wont those guys get harmed by the radiation?

  • How come the radiation is so high in the red forest? Just bad luck?

  • gotta love the doves

  • yea the ferris wheel was just built before the explosion, and never had one person on it,. ever.

  • @FanAgainstGordon Check my website, I have pictures of the amusement park in use. It has been said that they opened it early on the morning of the explosion to keep people busy while they worked how to deal with the disaster.

  • @FanAgainstGordon whats the site?

  • @FanAgainstGordon look at 5:53 small picture in the corner of the left side, there ferris wheel is in use..

  • @FanAgainstGordon yeah it did, but only on the side and that was captain macmillan

  • Bit of Doves, nice one!!!!

  • @odsall You have great taste in music :)

  • Hey Firesuite, what is the song in the latter half of this video? Its great... actually, all the music in this series is beautifully ambient :) Thanks for posting

    peace

  • @nelson3300 Its called "Firesuite" by the doves

  • It might say it's scary to imagine those places at night, in darkness. Yet awesome, despite all sadness behind the events.

  • @firesuite where did you sleep at night while you were there in two days? i mean if you've been in that city for more than a number of hours, you might get infected

  • @xthomaz1 We stayed in the Chernobyl hotel, 10km south of the reactor in the city of Chernobyl.

  • it would scare the hell out of me, if i walked around inside those buildings and suddently met a stranger. lol

  • It really looks like the video game Call Of Duty Modern Warfare!

  • id love to go there but in the parts which havent been tourd through alot, like places untouched and completely the same as when it was abandoned

  • @VividGraffiti nothing is untouched as when it was abandoned because after the accident people sneaked back to steal everything away that is why it looks like such a mess

  • @VividGraffiti You wont find any now, even the jupiter plant on the west side of Pripyat, which was running up until 2005 has been completely ransacked, its tragic really.

  • Seems a bit idiotic to loot someplace so radioactive :) Not you, but in terms of all the looting that has gone on.

  • @nelson3300 People don't fear what they can't see. There was an incident in south america a few years back when some people looted x-ray emitters from an abandoned hospital and ended up spreading radiation all around the city. Several of them died.

  • What is that pile @ 9:03 on the side of the road?

  • @Bamchucknorris Good question, given that this was an extremely high rad area and as our dosimeter went crazy.. we didnt hang around to find out.

  • people looted this place as fucked up as it was ,what the fuck is wrong with them

  • @tody1971 No one was coming back, people were almost homeless and poor, some stuff was actually looted by their original owners.

  • @tody1971 totally agree!!

  • 10,000 ron'ns is he having a laugh!!!

  • I've seen pics of another Ferris Wheel that was a slightly different model. The gondolas were enclosed and more pod-like. Was it at a different park in the Zone?

  • @Scioneer This is the only park in the zone with a ferris wheel

  • heya! could you tell me title of the music which plays during the amusement park scene??? its very cool and cant find any info on that...

  • @ironkrz All music is credited at the end of part 5

  • @firesuite Thank you! And cool video by the way. cheers

  • @ironkrz Thanks

  • That ferris whell never be turned on... First to be launched on 1 May 1986

  • what is that sound off that radition thing 9;24

  • @dikkefuck123456789 its the beeping of the radiation meter that calculates how many roentgens are in the area surrounding the device.

  • @dikkefuck123456789 to add to that the loud beeping you hear compared to the clicking sound is the warning of extremely or dangerously high levels of radiation.

  • great pictures an impressions. Much better in HD. Thanks

  • What music is that that starts about half way in??

  • did u get sick after your trip ?

  • Who smashed those things anyway.

  • you should have went in their with a tyveks suit or something to protect you from the radiation

  • did u get sick after your trip?

  • @dollhousemassacre It wasnt too bad, the uranium poisoning was fairly light and despite growing a third arm im pretty much fine now :P

  • @firesuite

    no cancer?

if i went there, I would've had full protection, the suit and the gas masks

  • @trooper59 nope, our guide has been working in there 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off since 1997 without any protection and hes still alive, i figure my two days was worth the risk.

  • Did you see the Creepy Clown Train? and Why didn't you test out the piano to see if it works?

  • Im not so sure i understand the part at the end with the radiation meter, what were they talking about? and how high was the radiation at that location?

  • Very good weather in chernobyl

  • Very well done filming and editing. Gives one a real sense of this ghost town.

    Hauntingly beautiful. A little spooky.

Again, thank you for sharing and can't wait to visit your site.

  • 3:20 gas mask lol

  • Radioactive soil samples.

  • did u have to wear a mask at all?

  • @firesuite why are they there?

  • The music reminds me of the music from Silent Hill

  • at the end tick tick tick hold to window beep beep beep beep and you die

  • Not very dangerous, only a months' exposure would cause enough harm to you.

  • do you possibly know how tall that ferris wheel is? my grandfather was wondering when i showed him ur videos trying to convince him to go to chernobyl with me lol

  • @NumaKitty really hard to say, at a guess i would say 4 to 6 storeys high, possibly

  • @firesuite both the brit and the russian guide speak inaudible english

  • This video is quite swell.

  • thanks man always wanted to see the after match of what happened in chernobyl

  • So sad :(

  • The ferris wheel appears to be in pretty good condition considering the years that have passed!

  • @moemoe198105

I think this was never been used

  • Not sure on comparisons but when we were there it was mid 70's with light cloud, ideal conditions i think, earlier in the week though it had rained.

  • Absolutely incredible. May '09 what is the climate like in the area? Anything like the States?
