I have to say that even though mi mama was bummed that Etta was sick for her original performance at Hollywood Bowl, of which I had gotten tixs for, we were extremely happy to have Chaka Khan out to take over Etta's spot in the line-up. Plus Adele was the headliner, things just got better and better throughout the evening. One of the best moments of my life, spent dancing in the seats with mi mama.
What a performance by these great music heavyweights! Miss Etta, you are one kick ass woman. You with your Roots Band in Bringin' Down The House is a classic DVD. Play on!!

Great force of nature that Etta James! What a voice! Glady's voice is as smooth as silk! Chaka held her own singing with these two divas. Great performance! Except for, perhaps, Mary J. Blige, no other female singer today comes even close to these pipes.
