Sir Mitt of Romney, though extremely wealthy himself, somehow finds time to mix it up with peasantry in awkward encounters at their so-called "state fairs."
@geoffreybrown82 I agree that the Romney should not get the brunt of this public anger but if you believe that the super rich should pay proportionately less tax than a secretary or a teacher than you are not from planet earth!!! In a time when the USA is facing mounting debt the rich need to contribute their fair share as well.
@geoffreybrown82 it is not that, Romney is a successful businessman and probably has not being involved in anything illegal, but why should this system allow people like buffet and Romney get away with paying only 15 percent tax when they are among the super wealthy.
It is ridiculous how people in this country are making rich people look like the enemy! You do not become rich by doing nothing! You do not stay rich by robbing and stealing from others. Mitt Romney is a successful businessman plane and simple. Why do we point the finger at him when he has done nothing illegal he has just been resourceful and wise in his financial decisions.
Who was the 1 traitor who clicked thumbs down for this video exposing Romney? Anybody who supports Romney is a Traitor in my eyes. Anybody who doesn't support Ron Paul and the Constitution is a Traitor in my eyes also.
America better unite and sign Ron Paul in as President. Nobody else running will restore America. Expect it to get very bad if Ron Paul doesn't get in as President because we will be sucked into a War with Iran that will lead to WW3.
The GOP talking pt as to why they demand the capital gains tax be at 15% or lower is because they claim it will lead to jobs. Well, Mitt hasn't had a job since end of 2007 and hasn't created jobs like talking about, yet even though during that time he was earning tens of millions, he was still only paying 15%. Do you see the problem with that GOP falsehood?
Parish Hiltons makes a ton from her stocks in her grandpa's company, how many jobs is she creating? None. But she still pays on 15%.
They are comparing apples to sheep. I am sure he paid a higher tax rate when he actually was earning it by holding a job. When one invests and earns money off of the money you have already earned the tax rate should be low for everybody.
1. It's BS that my whopping 65k a year is takes higher than Romney's millions.
2."I get paid speaking fees, but not much..." $375,000 in a year is not much! Romney is so out of touch with what most Americans are dealing with. That cash would allow a family of four to buy a nice house outright with no crushing mortgage. Not much indeed.
Let's see, if he paid 15% of $1 Million (not sure what he made), he paid $150,000 in taxes. Joe cop made $60,000 and paid $9,000. Looks like Mitt paid quite a bit more in taxes. 48% of AMericans don't pay ANY Federal income tax at all. Where is their fair share?
Abolish the capital gains tax and tax all income as normal income. Establish a sensible and fiscally grounded progressive tax system on all income. Democrats and Republicans have been protecting an unfair and overcomplicated tax system for decades. It's time that we as a country got behind a sensible, progressive tax system.
GOD I DISLIKE HIM. NOT HATE. I CANT BELIEVE HE PAYS THAT LITTLE, I CANT BELIEVE BLOCK HEAD REPUBLICANS WILL STILL VOTE FOR HIM. HE DOESNT GIVE A SHIT ABOUT THE AVERAGE GUY.
if republican voters are only now waking up to the fact that the rich have been paying so little and that it's the core agenda of republican party to keep the rich from paying what they should then they're idiots and part of the problem. Too many people only listen to the campaign rhetoric but don't follow or look up the actions of those running for office and the party they represent if they did the Republican party would be marginalised as a party of greed not conservatism
But Americans have been made to believe that they'd rather pay Romney's taxes and let him keep his. They somehow think they need to thank him for making so much money and paying so little in taxes. George Orwell would have appreciated the delusion.
