I'm trying to create a server and have a friend connect to me and just hunt each other down - I need no public servers.. Any workaround just this or it doesn't matter how you connect and you'll always get the keycode in use thing. I've installed all patches. It is curious that this worked fine a couple of years ago and now it doesn't.. Guess companies really try to forces us to buy every game we might like... which is impossible.

ihave all the patches upto and including 1.7.. It lets me view all the servers but when i try to connect it says Keygen in use.. But then when i try connect by console.. it just goes awaiting connection..1..2...3...4 until 11 and says cant connect.. what do i do?

still doesnt work! i dont know what im doing wrong i downloaded the patches i copied a ip adress then i went into cod 4 opened console typed connect then ip adress then it says awaiting connection 1...2...3 then key code is already in use

@HashBrownHack have you download the 1.6 and 1.7 patch??after that makesure you open the multiplayer COD MW...then press the (` or shift(~)) button.....type connect space then paste the ip address and then ENTER....after that you can enjoy the game....i tried it..it worked for,but sometime i can't enter some game because of my high ping....try it...good luck.
