  • Kovalev should also show his methods on whining and faking injuries...then kids can play JUST like him.

  • Tip #1: Back checking is over rated. (Unless it's a contract year) fucking idiot...

  • Always like Kovalev, which he stayed with the Habs to be honest. I'd love to see a Datsyuk hockey tape, that guy is sick.

  • He sounds like Ovie

  • @HCKY30 Hmmm probably because they both speak Russian...but Kovalev's voice is a lil deeper

  • Crosby and Kovalev play on the same team so i can see why Crosby would dislike the video 17 times...oh wait no i don't.

  • Very amazing=))

  • awsome

  • i guess ovechkin and varlamov got here and put likes on the video and then crosby makes 17 accounts and puts dislikes on the video

  • Lexa krasva!!!

  • what's the name of the song at the start in the cd...

  • nice!

  • Pavel Bure didnt have the best hands but he did have some really sick ones. But heres the difference Pavel Bure knew how to use them in massive amount of speed!! Thats why hes my favorite hockey player of alll time.

  • Hes always gonna be my favorite hab... Wish people understood he wanted to stay.

  • why do people argue on the internet.. here is something that is a fact not an opinion.... any of the players people are debating about (which has better hands).. are amazing and better than any of us can.. there is a reason why THEY MAKE the video.. and WE WATCH it!!!!! enough said

  • @BaronsBoi

The point of a discussion is understanding and the elevation of the self toward knowledge. I will agree though that there is a difference between a pointless subjective argument and a logical debate.

  • NEED NEED NEED... :D

  • I played against kovalev on the ice for around an hours, he is incredible, I wasn't able to touch the puck at all, Kovi have incredible talent.

  • He is good, but you are bad player if you didn't touch puck for our....:-)) Sorry.

  • kovalev is sickkkk ive seen on many interviews with nhl players . they ask the players who do you think the most "talented" player out there is they ansrew kovalev. kovalev never "wanted" it very much tho if you know what imean

  • Yeah, he has the talent but he doesn't have the determination like some guys have. He's still a great player though.

  • i see it, i buy it, i love it!

  • nobody can handle the puck like this guy ,,, AK2 4 life :P

  • you must have never seen pavel datsyuk play hockey

  • AHAHA im a wings Fan ... pavel datsyuk is my fav player ,,,

  • No, Datsyuk is fast, but nothing goes as fast as Kovalev's hands. He is the only guy I have seen playing hockey almost without moving or at a very slow pace. Coaches usually tell you to put idmediate pressure, but for Kovalev, you need one guy to rush him and a second to stay behind.

There is not an other player in this league who stickhandles like this; when he's on, he is in an other world.

  • sidney crosby...... if you want me to, ill send you an amazing video

  • I think only one player has better hands than Kovi....Jaromir Jagr.

  • Perhaps.

I count 3 players at the top:

    Jagr

    Kovalev

    Datsyuk

Kovy and Jagr have faster hands than Datsyuk. Now, tell apart the incredibly fast from the ridiculously fast - it's hard!

  • thats the most retarded thing ive ever heard... no-one has faster hands than datsyuk

  • @GueorguiJoukov wrong, you're an idiot. nobody has faster hands than datsyuk

  • Mario Lemieux said that Kovy had the best hands in the world, that means he thought Jagr was not as good in this part of the game

  • @ae446c Sam Gagner

  • @ae446c and Pavel Bure

  • @ae446c And Pavel Datsyuk

  • Seriously, I have seen Fedorov, Datsyuk, Crosby, Malkin, Ovechkin, Bure, name them... They all do great plays when skating full pace. But once they stop moving or slow down, it's no longer as hard to get the puck off their blades.

Just as Yvon Pedneault - former RDS analyst - said: "He is probably the most dangerous player at slow speed."

Many NHL Dmen said he was the least player they wanted to face on a one-on-one. But as one said here, does he always take the extra step? No.

  • ye what about kopitar? i had training with him, i em from slovenia..me are from same town

  • Sergei Federov can, both Alex and Sergei are matched up at the same standards.

  • i loved him when he was on the pens

  • LONG LIVE THE HABS!

    Long live AK27!!!

    (it's AK 27 not 47 vignouts)

  • AK47

  • This week's lesson: How to fake injuries and cost games.

  • its called being italian and diving

  • ....because kovalev is italian and everything, right

  • Well he was pretty good in soccer.

  • Or how to make the best point streak in the 2008-09 hockey season.

You know, when he got like 14 or 16 points in 7 games... Not bad for a player who cost games.

And what about the last season? He led the team literally. He was Montreal.

Is talent an injury? Because I bet he is sick.

  • He's amazing, fuck the haters

    AK27

  • cool

  • all u do is alide the puck between ur legs, turn around, and do the slapshot!

  • yeah, simple. just slide the puck and turn around. so simple a caveman could do it.

  • you know it woud be better if you showed us what was in the dvd

  • guys i know it sounds stupid but is it too late to start playing hockey in a league when ure a newby and 18 years old? i mean is there a class to catch up ?

  • its never too late. your local rink will have all the info you need. Some rinks have a novice league for people just like you. Gte in there and get going.

  • yea i started when i was 17 and im now on a college squad starting forward

  • squad

  • No it's not some of the best hockey player came in the league at more them 25 so don't give up the more you work the best result you get you should get your self Kovalev's DVD he's one of the best so he know what it's all about

  • Mate, I'm 20 and I just started skating. In 2 weeks times, with the help of Laura Stamm, I am now able to go forward, backwards, break, do crossovers, do tight turns and pivot. I need to work on my balance and work out some kinks and I will be ready to play beginner hockey in 2-3 weeks!

Remember, the beginning is absolutely merciless. You might want to quit within a week due to all the falling and seeing 5 year olds skate circles around you. Keep your head and heart up and you'll succeed.

  • nowing how to skate is good but when you start playing and getting hit and shit and controlling the puck youll get screwed over bad.you should work on that befor you actually go play and get embarressed

  • what about switching from roller to ice

  • its gotta become 2nd nature, then you should start playing hockey

  • wouldn't have Malkin that high.

Kovalev has been around longer, and porved consistent, whereas malkin is young, and hasn't proved to be conisistent.

  • Alexei Kovalev has the best hands in the league, unfortunately, he's also one of the most inconsistent at times.

  • Top russian players.

    1. alex ovechkin

    2. ilya kovalchuk

    3. pavel datsyuk

    4. evgeni malkin

    5. alexei kovalev

  • I've always been a big fan of russian hockey players... and that would be my top 5 too:P

  • i met alexander ovechkin this winter and took a picture with him. But i would trade it at any moment for one with kovalev.

  • Malkin is the best

  • markov's pretty good too !

  • Although I'm a Leafs fan, I think Kovalev is a pretty sick player, so I'd buy this video in a heartbeat.

  • GO HABS GO !

  • ----- 100% ----- of profits to foundations he such a great guy

  • He's great! Nice promo, looks good.
