  • i have a 1975 honda z50. is it harmful to the engine to ride in the snow?

  • @Skoalbandit911 i had a 1994 z50r, never rode it in snow- i only had it for a couple months during the summer. i'm sure you would be fine to ride in the snow, certainly not this deep though, everything has limits. i'd keep it out of the mud and water though. my magneto got wet and wasn't running right... let it sit and dry for a few days and it was fine. gaskets leak, when your done riding knock the snow off the bike and put wd-40 on it.

  • thats not snow...chuck norris just jizzed

  • no effence but its youtube not pictube ffs

  • did you know this is youtube, not pictube :D but looks fun!

  • looks like fun

  • did you have trouble getting through the snow or was it good?

  • @cole54856 it was very hard to ride and actually move, the snow was deep and not much ground clearance with the 100. i parked a couple minutes after trying and the magneto got wet, you still can ride the 100 in 10 inches of snow and have fun though, but this much, no way.

  • @GSRGOPEDRIDER247 i dode a kx 100 in the snow as soon as the engine hit the 2 stroke powerband it flipped and fell ontop of me lol i love 2 strokes

  • @chevroletman48 I just got a rancher 420 4x4, it's real nice! especially for plowing, first quad I still like bikes though. thanks for the comment

  • i did this with my Yamaha Warrior and my friends crf250. its tooooo much fun

  • I ride a TTR 125 and Im gona be doing that this winter :) But I want to upgrade to a 125 2 stroke, And do you know if they make chains for dirt bike tires lol? Its a stupid question but I was just wondering.

  • @22zmynumber not sure, i'd imagine they do. i think i've seen them being used on hill-climb bikes. they make some pretty gnarly tires though, if they wouldn't cut it... then it's time to buy a snowmobile! haha

  • @22zmynumber A 2 stroke in winter is a really bad idea unless "winter" where you live is hot and dry... In cold weather and with temperature variations in winter, you would have to change your jets all the time. If you don't and you're running lean, you could blow your engine.

  • hey i have the same bike and i can see you have the original tires on it now i don't know if you still do but, i would suggest getting a michilen starcross cause i ride my bike in the snow and i can go through 2 -3 foot snow drifts the tire is awsome.

  • @Hondaracingcr125 sold it over a year ago, actually getting 4x4 atvs next week. thanks for the comment and suggestion though

  • that aint no 18 inches u must b high off ur own ass

  • Um huppster you can't really say you suck when he's in snow an not moving and they're only pictures

  • dont look like a 100 cuz i got a 06 crf100f and its alot bigger

  • you suck

  • ummmm yea maybe if u werent a goon and u actually rode track u wud not like snow fag

  • 1/5

  • hey is that bike a crf 70 f??

  • @nick98phelps 2007 crf 100

  • @nick98phelps I like how u couldnt read the title...

  • hey did u get good traction in that foot of snow????

  • @1DirtbikeBoy, it was well over a foot. i don't weight very much and the snow was heavy... so the whole time i had it pinned in third gear and wasn't moving real fast. my dad rode it around fine, 9 inches of snow would be the most for riding in... the magneto got wet and i had to stop riding for a few days the snow was so deep

  • ah ok thanks, i liv in Maryland and we had 2 back 2 back blizzards, and over 19inches, so now im waiting for the snow to melt so that i can bring out my 150f.

  • @1DirtbikeBoy we had about 14-18 inches from that storm, your 150 will probably have better tires on it and more ground clearance. you could always try to make a path, once you have a path you'll be good to go!

  • stop uloading a video with pictures... that sucks, another 41 seconds wasted of my life..

  • @kimma1337 then stop watching these videos dumbass.

  • @kimma1337

    hahahaha

  • crf 150f and down sucks ass cheeks

  • @raffertyraffraff34 your talking about some of the most popular play bikes ever made by honda... these bikes don't suck

  • This video suck dick.

  • i did that on my crf150

  • nice bike

  • thanks.

  • lol mate get a snowscooter instead its easier :D

  • @RacingRetard525 crf 100 suck i have one and all it does is break

  • dude i rode my crf150f in the snow last year and it was sooooo much fun

  • same here all day my 150 took such a beating but always held up i wish i never got rid of it

  • my 100 is gone now, but i do agree. honda's just keep running and running, no matter what the bike or car.

  • fo sho my 150 was nasty i got a lil vid of it on my accunt but i made ice tires for it and the place i had to ride then was great

  • yha bikes don't go to well in snow unless you have a paddle tire or an ice tire

  • cool wen i wint in snow i got stuck to but it was fun did you hav fun

  • i got water in the magneto or something the bike kept sputtering so i had to park it for awhile.

  • yes fun but can you fun with fun and fun did you fun?

  • i have a 07 yz 125

  • i got the same bike 150 right?

  • nope, 100

  • i live in columbus tooo. i have a xt225

  • Shit I used to Ride my old YZ250 in a Snow that was anywhere from 6 inches to a foot in a half. ANd I used to fly I really wouldnt go over 40 and to top that I didnt even have Studded Tires. The Key to staying on the Bike and not falling. Is Traction and Balance.

  • i weighed around 85 at the time no joke and the bike bottomed out in the snow. it needed more clearence!

  • Well actually that bike was the perfect size for you if thats what you weighed riding it. Id say may Blown Seal in your Forks or In your Shock. And cold weather will do that to Seals and things like that if your bike is left in the Elements or even if it gets cold enough in your basement or shed. Ive replaced many seals middle of Winter because of that

  • if i just leave my yz250f sitting in a shed over the winter in -40 celsius would i have to replace any seals?

  • Um Yeah. Fork Seals Your Shock Gurantee youll blow your seals for the Pistons in your Brakes. Your Head Gasket. Well That should Be a O Ring. You would have to replace your Base Gasket exhaust gasket. Valve Seals. I would definately keep it in a Garage or in your House. Cold Weather is bad for Seals and your Engine. Trust me Ive seen it happen before and its very costly

  • well hay i have a klx 125 2006 and the year before i have no treed on my tires so i got stuck all the time but this year all i did was took out my iner tube out or you can just drain all the air out of it and you will be fine try it i have no treed and it still works im in snow 16 inch deep it gose through it like a brese try it coment on my vids

  • is it hard to ride in snow cuz i live in ca and it just snowed

  • not at all... just ride alittle slower when turning...

  • yeah i was wearing a helmate

  • i broke my back 2 months ago on one of those... it sucks gotta wear a fricken back brace and cant do anything. careful what u do guys.

  • may i ask what where you doing? my dad yells all the time when i do wheelies saying how im going to get hurt

  • well i was out riding in a picked bean field and was in third gear, I guess i just fell off and was stranded out there in about 20 acres, couldnt move. someone drove by and say me laying out there and called the ambulance. I bruised both my lungs Broke my t8 vertibrae and got a tramatic brain injurie (concusion).

Still in the brace. was that in maine michigan wisconsin minnesota or norh dakota???

  • wow... hope you recover fully soon. it was in central ohio last year in early march i believe. it's probably the most snow ohio has seen in the past decade. where you wearing a helmet when you wrecked?

  • poor fella shit like this always happens but... r u gonna able to walk again

  • hahaha "bad noises" looks like fun wish i had that much snow

  • the electronics got wet and messed up the timing or something

  • looks like fun i get 3-4feet of snow every winter at my house from November to febuary usually

first time i ever rode was in snow

  • kool riding dude looks like a ton of fun what type of bike do you plan on getting when you get a bigger one i went from a xr100 to a crf150r i might get another 100 tho i bet it was hard to ride in that much snow did you wreck at all good job :)

  • i didn't wreck, but i wasn't mooving. i would get a crf230, 250r, or kx 100, or 125 if i could

  • bildspel suger

  • you didn't blow it... you toke the silencer off and that's to much air for the carb

  • the spark arrester was in, it just got wet. sometimes when i wash it i have to leave it sit for atleast a day before i can start it again

  • This is how good riders start...nothing is to extreme.

Just get out there and ride...it's all a learning curve.

    5*'s from me.

  • give this guy a break man u try gettin out there in that kind of snow and ride in what ever the temperature was

  • thanks. it was very cold out that day. i thought that i crapped up my bike because it started making grinding/bogging noises.

  • lol this move suck !!lol

  • try riding a dirtbike in 18 inchs of snow. it's not easy.

  • And you don't have a vid. Can you ride at all?

  • why post this? lol

  • because i did.
