  • Wow!

  • haha, thats nuts. isn't distracting during play or do they stop blinking then?

  • THIS SHIT IS CARZII!

  • how did you get the bubbletop to light up (joystick ball)

  • where I buy the buttons?

    where I buy the levers?

    this cool

  • hmm...they sell these on ebay i think or you can just buy regular buttons and put a light under it

  • Where can I buy one of these?

  • *seizures*

  • fucking hot, i beat off to this

  • Where did you get the Parts?

  • This isnt a standalone CP SF4 or other fighters. I'm building a cocktail arcade machine and i'm using LEDs in the buttons to telll the player which controls are used on a game to game basis. I.E for Donkey Kong only one button would be lit as well as the U,D,L,R LEDs around the joystick as DK is a four way game. If it was SF2, all 6 buttons would be lit as well as all eight LEDs around the joystick.

  • The LEDs will also be used to show what buttons are used for emulated systems, i.e one button will light for Atari 2600 games, two for NES and so on.

The LEDs will also be used in the aracdes attract sequence. Im using three LED Wiz's to independantly control 96 LEDs and a PacDrive to control a further 16.

I'm using LED WIZ's to control the LEDs. The video here was just a test using the LED WIZ's on board fade effects to make sure I had all of the LEDs wired up.

  • I guess this is a board like the pacdrive. Do you have to always have some frontend running on the pc to control the lights, or does it save the programs on the board?

  • Yes its similar to the Pacdrive but the Pacdrive only allows for on/off outputs. You cannot vary the intensity of the LEDs with the Pacdrive unlike the LED Wiz. You need to be able to vary the intensity of the LEDs to do the fade/glow etc effects. The only thing that the Pacdrive had over the LED Wiz is that it could output other voltages that 5v but now with the LED Wiz version 2 you can have up to four different output voltages using the bank select feature.

  • AFAIK you have to have to have it connected to a controller program at least to light the LEDs. I was usling LED Blinky.

  • @francofrancobaresi can u make a tutorial pls:)

  • thats cool but....doesnt it hurt your eyes after a while?

  • That would piss me off big time within minutes once the novely worn off...

  • AHHAHAHAHAHA XD

  • that would actually be a pretty sweet idea -- have an intitiation sequence when you first plug the stick in.... hmmm..maybe my next project. :P

  • hi bro! pls teach me how to build pc joystick. pls.

  • Thanks. This was just a test using the GGG pre set fade effects to check that I had everything wired correctly.

There will be a bright attract sequence but the corresponding controls will be lit up using a lower LED intensity value.

  • Nice but you will get a headache from the light shudder I would think..
