  • Oh sorry i mean which projectors

  • @Lyndir I use some Infocus 5400's. They have a new line of stackable projectors that look pretty sweet. I would recommend them. It's good to have a digital shift on the projectors to help with alignment.

  • Great video i was just wondering which beamer you are using

  • @Lyndir What do you mean by 'beamer'? I'm not familiar with that term.

  • Just out of curiousity, how much did the setup you show cost you (roughly) ? So 3D silverscreen, the 2 polarized lenses, the 2 projector (will any do ?) Did I miss anything ?

  • @themax75 Check out this blogpost for better pricing. chompers3d.wordpressDOTcom/2011/10/12/how-to-set-up-your-own-3d-theater/

You're looking at a couple thousand for this set-up. You can do something much smaller for cheaper, especially if you use vintage 3D screens instead of new silver screens. Really the pricing is all over the place depending on size & resolution.

  • YOU WIN MY SUSCRIBE

  • So why can't I use my 3d glasses from the theater to watch 3D youtube videos?

  • @toby16custom Your glasses need to match the format of the video. If you click on the red 3D icon on a youtube 3D vidoe it lists some of the different formats. It's kind of like music. If you have a record you need a record player, if you have a tape you need a tape player. The format of playback much match the media.

  • @toby16custom The YouTube 3D Videos is in Anaglyph 3D (red/cyan) this format isn't like RealD 3D sistem, the RealD Sistem use a circular polarized glasses, a silver screen and RealD XL proyector in Theaters, this video shows how build RealD Home Sistem with two proyectors conected a PC with two ways RGB out and video out, two polarized filters for each eye (right eye, left eye) a silver screen and RealD 3D glasses get it in theaters.

  • Thanks for sharing the specifics, including how you have your projectors set up. Great information for those looking!

  • @TheStudioFreq No problem. I just did a blogpost as well which covers this in more detail. You can check it out by googling 'diy 3D theater chompers"

I'll keep putting stuff up about DIY 3D.
