Honestly, I think Porky acts as a sort of a vessel to Giygas or at least still possesses him to a degree.

His "What did Porky do..." attack is a good indication of that, even if it's probably just a reference to Giygas' attacks in Mother 2/Earthbound.

Not to mention the fact that he didn't begin to work for Giygas until after people/animals/things got affected by his influence.

You know what the damndest thing about Porky is? By the end of Mother 3, Itoi somehow managed to make him a somewhat sympathetic villain.

This is the longest boss theme I've ever heard and second longest overall (longest is 7 minutes).

I guess it's natural for some of the more epic themes to be long.

I know someone who did a recital on like, every song in KH2 on piano and it was 17 minutes long.

I can see that, but what I mean is, if a song takes more than around 2-3 minutes to loop twice, then it's longer than most songs.

For some reason, I found the fight that this went with was the coolest, and the music makes it cool. It starts out with a feeling saying "I AM GONNA KICK YOUR F***ING A**" then goes to a "You're stronger than I thought."

I had so much fun with this fight ...

You find out at this point that he's one of many of Giygas's followers. Hey, no big deal. Giygas has about a billion followers. It's all mind-control. So he steals a copter, crash-lands in the marsh and runs like hell. When you finally see him again, you find out he's not only Giygas's _direct associate_, but...

The whole appeal behind Porky is that he exceeds your expectations every time. He starts out as this whimpering next-door-neighbor who's kind of a dick to you. He basically decides the Onett meteorite is more important to him than you and beats you there. He decides he doesn't want to play hero with you, so he leaves. Next time you see him, he's started a cult in a local town. Yeah. Nothing too extreme, but that's what he grew up to be. When you finally get rid of them...

Porky was definetly an evil bastard lol. This fight was friggin' epic if you ask me XD . Well, I guess I was pretty underlevel (I didn't even have PK Ground yet lol), but still... twas a fun last boss either way :P . (I don't think... "he", counts as a boss lol)

IMO, I don't get all this Sephiroth bashing...

Sephiroth haters are just bad as those who overrate him...

Personally, Sephiroth is COOLER than Porky...

But Porky to me, is on a level of villainy like that of Kefka...

Kefka's never appealed to me in a "cool" sense, but he's really an evil guy, same with Porky...

Either way, this song is what rocks...

Sephiroth is cool, but Porky and Kefka are definately more evil. I've always heard people like Sephiroth more than Kefka for having more depth, but both of them have about as much depth as a puddle. If you want a SquareSoft/Enix villain with depth, play Xenogears. :/
