I would hope that the Gulf Aristocracies would learn from the experience of the European Aristocracies. People must have jobs, Complete Education, and housing or, they become unstoppable monsters that care nothing for their own destruction and destroy all about them. There is no need to destroy the system. Perhaps the custom of "tribal council" could be adapted .

AJ pointed out that the US initially sided with Mubarak when he was challenged by protests, and has spoken out about the troops Saudi Arabia has sent to Bahrain. It should say something on Qatar's similar behavior. I like AJ and love its coverage of Palestinian issues. But this silence about Qatar is a stain in its record. Go visit AJ English's website. It's full of articles about Western media's partiality towards their governments. I agree about that. But AJ is not much better.
