  • love the movie, love the song, but don't think they go together. obviously the lyrics do to some extent. but not the vibe. nothing will beat the mash-up to Once Upon a Time in the West.

  • -- I'm livin' in an age that calls darkness light--

True words. We live in foul times.

  • bien fait

  • This is the most beautiful music video based on a film I've ever seen in my life. You, sir, have remarkable talent. Please keep using it.

  • Travis was not a psycho though. So,this video is ultimately failing in its intentions. The main failing, was labeling, and accusing, whilst at the same time trying to superimpose your personal beliefs to the movies meanings, via clever editing.

  • @MOTHIKAS Except that Martin Scorsese has actually described Bickle's postion as anti-hero & psychopath and actually gets annoyed when fans consider him to be the knight in shining armour to Jodie's character. He's the equivalent of Columbine & Virginia Tech, only when he snapped, he happened to direct that wrath on bad guys.

  • @Jesuit24 Absolutely right. Taxi Driver is not a film about loneliness, it's a film about a certain type of lonely charactercreated in Modern American society who feels discarded, disconnected and ultimately lashes out violently at the world around him. Taxi driver predicted the real life characters like Eric Harris. Who whilst yes the film's about loneliness and all sorts of lonely people can relate. It's still telling the story of travis bickle whose isolation led to psychopathy.

  • @MOTHIKAS he was very much a psycho.

  • Good editing

  • Awesome video but hes not a psychopath

  • arcade fire sucks, don't disgrace taxi driver with that shit

  • Great Video.....Great Music.....You're an artist.......

  • great editing and all around the best TAXI DRIVER music video iv seen

  • Go

    Prepare To Stop

    Stop

Travis just wants to stop it all

    Jesuit24 - nice job sir.

  • Oh! Yes, that's correct. Green, amber, red as traffic lights with red as the warning sign as he 'skips the light' and keeps going.

Have the Magnum. Don't kill anybody with it. Well anybody who doesn't deserve it.

  • You're all coming up with awesome reasons for my effects which I wish I was clever enough to do intentionally, but no, the effect I'm talking about is much more simpler. Giselle was on the right track.

  • Mmm... The lines that Elle was talking about...

Go from light to red as soon as the violence starts.... in other words... as soon as Bickle's tainted mind completely takes him over...

    Amirite?

  • Nope. Close though. That was my second aim. The clue is: it's related to traffic/taxis.

  • Great video!

As for the effect, I guess I don't know for sure, I was gonna say either the freeze frames you used like he used in Goodfellas especially or his signature slow motion shots...(??)

  • great video i watched in high quiality and it was amazing i wish the whole movie had this quility.

    besides the better color

the other effect u used was the still pictures and cam moving? right..?

  • absolutely genius.

  • Red around the edges for a cage-like effect!

  • The line...I didn't notice it changes color.

  • You failed.

  • *fangasms everywhere*

Taxi Driver and Arcade Fire.... IT JUST... Makes my heart sweeelllll!

    You truly have done good.

  • The shot where it goes to black & white then the shot of the dirty $20 to match the previous shot with the $20.

    Thats great work*****

  • You done good, Bri. You done real good.
