As a teen mom riding the bus home from high school everyday wondering what I was gonna do with my life....this song would come on (every day -we had a great bus driver, always played tunes) and it lifted me up every time. Now that I'm a grandma, it still brings back fond memories ! How can you not feel lifted up hearing this ? Love it !!! Thanks ......
Very taste fully done. Did you do the sax too? I do this as a sax instrumental. This song always brings back good memories for people and it is always good to forget todays problems even if its just for a few minutes.
@bigalinwesttexas Hi, Many thanks for your nice comment. No, regrettably, I am unable to play any instruments, maybe left it too late to learn! Yeah, its a great little tune, that can enable one to escape to problems of today, totally agree. Yourself, I presume, from Texas, my Favorite Artist comes from your way. Mr Boz Scaggs. Maybe you wish to check out my 'Boz' Song Called 'Sierra' on my channel. Once again many thanks for dropping by
Great rendition! I loved old Hurricane...brings back those long lost Seventies with the wide lapels, Afros Jovan musk oil and all that went with it..so much fun.
@ArthurGoodlad Thank you for your kind comment. I, in fact love this song, and as a performer myself, have pleasure in singing this song at my gigs. I always 'goes down well' because it is such an uplifting, happy and memorable tune. Thank you for taking the time to leave a comment. Please feel free to subscribe. Many thanks Simon
@fvrrljr Thank you very much for your very kind comments regarding 'Oh Babe,What would you say' video. It is a song that I always liked and I never tire of hearing the original. In that sense, I though it would be good to cover it myself, and do perform it on my gigs. Indeed. it still, in my mind remains a classic and typifies music from the 70's. Please also thank your daugter for liking my version. Cheers
@TatevossianA Many thanks for your comment on my video 'Oh Babe, What would you say. Yeah, I was pleased with the outcome in making this video, and really it developed 'itself'! ironically, it was one of the easiest that I put together. I thank you for your interest and apologise for any delay in my reply. Once again ..Thanks
@Phantanos Your comment on my video 'Oh Babe, What would you say' was so welcomed by me, and I appreciate the time out that you tok to post your comment. Yes I agree with the 'charm' aspect of the video, and really, it took its own direction in its creation. Thank you for your post, and I apologise in any delay in my reply. Cheers
@Mrarguett Hi, firstly, let me apologise for a delay in my thanking you for you kind comment on my video 'Oh Babe, What would you say'. I made this video and since that time has become a favourite of my elderly mom. The original has always been a great favourite of mine, and I had always wanted to cover it in some form. Thanking you for your comments once again
@Mikester61 Many thanks for your kind comment about this video. Yeah, suprising. This was one of the easiest video's I had put together, somethings turn out sort of by accident and evolve on their own, as in this case. I'm glad you enjoyed the video. Not forgeting that Norman 'Hurricane' Smith discovered a fantastic band Called Pink Floyd, producing a number of their early album's as well as Barcklay James Harvest. He worked with The Beatles up until 1965 (Rubber Soul). Genius
Good voice and video!

A charming retro-classic video. It honors the era of the big bands and Neal "Hurricane"Smith. Your originality has earned my respect!

you give this type of music a modern sound with your voice which I consider excellent.
