i have loved this movie for literally as long as i can remember. i don't remember when i first saw it, but i know i already loved it by the time i was 5. i have the vhs of it around here somewhere, but it's good to see it shared on youtube so others can enjoy it.
i am listening to the hollow earth experts, and they all recommended this film, stating that it is based on a real true event ... i posted the hollow earth videos on my channel ... also see myspace/xirdal about it
I'm sorry, but I hate David Hartman's guts! I hate the sound of his voice, how he narrates every god damn detail, and how pretentious he is! Couldn't they have given Sinden a better foil, or at least a better co-actor!?
I really love the part was the French airship to an Viking Island. It's an adventure story of an discvoer of an Viking world brought to life an lost Vikings world in the Northwest of Canada.
This is one of my favorite movies as a kid. I watched it so many times. It shaped my childhood in ways I never thought until watching it as an adult. It made me love adventure! I want my kids to watch it.
A great and under rated Disney classic. Made at a time when Disney films with real actors were always about high school or college geeks developing superhuman powers after experiments went wrong this was refreshingly different and harked back to greats like 20 000 Leagues Under The Sea and Treasure Island. Donald Sinden is spot on as an Edwardian gentleman explorer.
A REAL STINKER OF A FILM. A DISNEY THEME PARK RIDE SET AROUND THE THEME OF THIS FILM WAS CANCELED AS A RESULT OF THIS CELLULOID TURD.

The film was based on the novel The Lost Ones, written by Ian Cameron (wikipedia).

See other Robert Stevenson´s movies at Disney´s, they´re very good, I started with Darby O'Gill and the Little People.

My Dad recorded this! It's a great film! Pity we never hear about the live action films much anymore. This one deserves remembrance.

Dear All,
I have some questions about psychology:
(1) Why do children love flying?
(2) Why do children like airship?
(3) Why do children like to fly on an airship more than a Boeing 747?
(4) Why do children like to fly more than adults?
(5) How does the way that girls enjoy their flying different than boys?
THANK YOU IN ADVANCE for your creative ideas and brainstorm!!! :)

@hylander89 I wish they still made movies like this! Movies that were fun and escapist. No gory violence needed.
