I freaking can't beat this thing. Maybe it's the fact that I have only three extra energy tanks and nowhere near as much upgrades as you do.

It's sad that I beat Prime 3, but still haven't beaten Prime 1 & Prime 2

Then again, the GC controls are a bit harder than the Wii's

@pika247 Once you got the Gamecube controller, is too easy to beat out.

The hardest of the Trilogy is Prime 1, essentially because the bosses are pretty hard but they are epic, also the common creatures are pretty strong and they weakness' are somewhat hidden, plus the items you have to collect. Ironically, this one is the easiest of the bunch, but still epic and fun to play; also, this was the first one that I played, so, I got dead in some parts of the Prime 1, also that I never got 100%.

this was one of the bosses my heart pumped really hard on when it was my first time playing amorbis was damn easy quadraxis nearly killed me with out thoughs safe zones chykka adult killed me once and thats it i kill all temple bosses without a sweat now =) but the spider ball guardian is muh worst nightmare xD!!!.....Seriously o.o!

It's the second main boss in Prime 2. The larva is fought, then an adult breaks out and is even harder to kill.

I bet a lot of people hadn't realized this but the chykka is actually weak to the dark beam, not the light beam. the chykka doesn't actually become dark until after it absorbs the dark water while its an adult. Its an easy mistake to make and I've done too.

The game still thinks you are in the water so your jumps are like if you were in water. The disadvantage is, if you touch any water, the effect wears off. Apparently, you must be in dark water when a cutscene occurs to activate this, therefore, the Chykka battle is the only place to activate this

If you are in the water when you break the last strand, after the cutscene, you will be on land, but when you jump you get an anti-gravity lift that lets you go incredibly far, and incredibly high.

From what i see, you have to be in the Dark Water BEFORE you fully knock down the coccoon. You should atleast be able to jump high.

They look kind of like little lizards that crawl on the walls. They act just like Metroids, getting stuck to your face and all. You have to get rid of them with a Morph Ball Bomb.

For me Chykka is even easier than the friggin bomb guardian. LOl even though Chyka is so easy for me. im having a hard time with the spider ball guardian! LMAO! i really cant elieve that!

Larve is a Dark Creature. Unless he couldn't survive in the Dark World. Every Boss is a Dark Crearue. Most even fight Dark Samus with the Light-Beam, because the Name is (Dark) Samus. But even she is a light Creature.

nah just a little trick make the cacoon fall while you are in the dark water and you get moon jump for the fight thats all.

Just a little tip, the Power beam works best on this guy, both because he's light and dark, and because you can use a Super Missile on him when he comes up.
