She had a screwy throat apparently. It's called quincy throat which made her voice sound "clearer" cause she was talking from the back of her throat - listen to how nasal 'happen' is.

a quinsy is an absess on the tonsil, it can and does affect a persons voice but i dont think its the cause of brody's vocal change.

its probably that she's learnt to sing properly and so doesnt force or strain the throat during singing/screaming all the time, hence a clearer voice. could be wrong but if you listen to the vocals on early distillers to the new spinnerette stuff you'll hear a healthy improvment

Well, her voice use to be raspy because she was freakin destroying her throat screaming all the time in her music! Lol, come on now, I was taken aback to a bit hearing her clear voice, but I love Brody she's awsome!
