  • i hate those shits

  • is there not one for the bass?

  • THAT sux.........

  • Nice! I just moved into a small apartment and will need to do something like this. How are you silencing the bass drum? I see vater make an 18" bass drum silencer but it doesn't seem like that's what you're using.. Also, how does it feel playing time on the ride cymbal with those pads? Thanks!

  • This is so pointless. What's the point of playing a drum kit that doesn't have sound? Do they have something like this that simply makes the drums more quiet instead of completely rendering your drums useless?

  • @xPhablex its called convenience.. you can practice your chops any time without worrying about bitchy neighbors haha

  • @xPhablex try playing acoustic in an apartment, you'll quickly find out why this stuff exists :)

  • How do you mute your bass drum sound?

  • you my friend are a great drummer!!!! teach us!!!

  • Why has nobody commented saying how fecking amazing the drummer actually is?

Screw pads, why would nobody WANT to hear this!

  • hey!! that is a grate idea!!! nice one!!

  • do they make one for the bass?

  • lol when i had to practice at night before an audition i just threw pants around the cymbals and put shirts on all the drums. its worked fine for me.

  • Spare your money and hit pans, you'd have the same sound.

  • @DrumFuckerFr you are absolutely right.. i did that once, it worked like a charm.

  • thats a frustrating sound...

  • are the hats constantinople too?

  • Just a quick question man, what if you hit the metal part of cymbals with these sound guards? is it still loud or alright for practicing inside an apartment? Also, how did you dampen the bass drum?

  • what type of practice pad is that on the snare?

  • @muscifreak777777 it is a HQ real feel pad

  • @nonagonmusicmelb clearly I didn't see that, no need to be salty homie. thanks.

  • Id like to hear that without the silencer pads!

  • anyone know if this is good in appartments?

  • @kevyomen Will be the same as an electric kit. You still hear the thumps through the walls but not the kit. Its "tolerable" my neighbours have told me...... I guess thumping noises still are not appreciated at 2am XD

  • two questions! is that a gretsch catalina club sizes 14, 12, 14, 18?

and did you buy the pads in a pack or separately?

  • i prefer playing my kit without sound guards... you know why? it helps you develop your pulse, i mean, by playing quitely you sort of educate your pulse then when you want to play louder you will get to do what you wanted to do but with more precision. try that my friend. i hleped to me.

  • this is crap !! i cant hear shit !! xD lol

    JK

  • amazing pad solo :)

  • my cymbal mutes leave some nasty dark stains, is there anything I can do to prevent that + get them off without having to use product cuz most damage your cymbals

  • what's that ride, the new zildjian k Constantinople Mega Super Dry :P

  • I see a mute on the top hi hat. Is there a mute between the top and bottom hh. It's quiet when u open and close sounds good

  • @fatchoppers01 Yes, there is a mute between the top and bottom HH.

  • I'm sorry but muting a K Constantinople is like killing a baby unicorn...

  • that s cool haha

  • thats just weird

  • Egh... I'd rather keep practicing on my bed than having that completely muffled sound...

  • dope

  • You play everything so awesome!

  • how do you mute tha bass drum?

  • @ShortyOwned You can try velcro. I tried that, but it fell off... even though I bought industrial strength. Maybe I need to velcro every last bit of the bass drum next time. Or maybe it's the Sound Percusssion mute pad that doesn't like velcro. I plan on getting these Vater pads. I did just order a beater from Lidwish Solutions. They sell special beaters with foam on it. We'll see how it goes... I'm skeptical up this point. Muting a bass drum is tough.

  • if those don't fall off like the other cheesy ones then i'm sold

  • Very good. there's some tone to it.

  • Luckily i live in the country.....singles, triplets, six and five stroke rolls plus some hand to foot variations.

  • dont even need to tune your drums.

  • niiiiice!

  • Sounds like bouncing a basketball, haha.

  • Amazing like always...

  • May have to consider something like this, just moved into apartment so goodbye to playing the drums! Awesome video, even on the mutes you sound very good man! peace

  • wow thats great!
