Lex just ran ridiculous good here, every time he bluffed his opponents happened to be in spots where its just a very tough call, and when he had hands his opponents happened to have hands that could pay him off. I bet if he was on TV on the day table this video would be "Lex getting destroyed by the table instead".
@lurgertor you can't say that lex veldhuis isn't a good poker player. Sure he has luck in this vid, but he plays it good, and normally he also plays a good game of poker. He doesn't play the cards, he plays poker..
@Elstinoss He may be a good player, but from what I've seen in this video he isn't playing that good since he's raising with hands that not only are they not top tear hands but not even hands that can make big hands like suited aces, suited connectors or small pairs. Hands like 87off and K6off will make 2pair, a straight or a flush so rarely that raising them isn't a profitable play in a 9 handed game, even with antes involved unless the table is very tight/passive.
Lex crushes souls by showing some sick bluffs at the WSOP ME, worst time for other players to see they been bluffed, half this table bought a gun after they got ko'd
Lex will never make a deep run in this event cause of his play style. Of course being aggressive early has its advantages cause people do play real tight on Day 1-3, but I haven't seen him switch gears into a nit which is neccessary for a field this deep. Watched him ship 20+bbs with a8s against Raymer I think it was. Lex;s style is always fun to watch but not optimal to play. Requires alot of luck and precise timing and once the table sees his image , you get called down very light
if elezra is proclaiming Veldhuis is the best, at that day, and is arguing with Cunningham that he is, velhuis must have been freakin on his game that day. Sharp player, he killed Simon's chipstack... pwned
but i think it was pretty obvious that it was a bluff. you can say im a donk or somthing but think about it. would veldhuis go all in if he wants to win some more money with a flush or a top pair?
he would bet like 5k to make münz call.
but he goes all in to banish münz.
also it was obvious that münz had a pair or two pair or something like that because he never raised and he always checked.
fuck off veldhuis go back to omaha.

@Furthermore23 you could consider him lucky for that, but he probably figured this out himself, and therefor used this particular playing style ;)

The trouble with entraction network is that every single hand is a coin toss, it has more in common with 2-up than poker....
