i think the writers are trying to hard to write twists into the stories given them loads of plot holes, paradoxes, and forgetting about the story itself. unfortunately its because of this and the fact that they change the back-stories for most of the aliens they bring back from the classic days that i dont watch the new series anymore. Classic Who had afew plotholes. but backplot generally stayed the same throughout. ill stick to doctors 1 - 10. :P

I actually prefer the Matt Smith Doctor to Tennant's. Not saying anything bad about Tennant's acting skills here, it was more in the scripts, I think. The Doctor always changes his personality somewhat with each new incarnation, and Doctor Smith seems to me to have more of the classic quirkiness and whimsy of the old Doctors (Tom Baker still being THE Doctor IMHO). I guess my taste is more for Moffat's controlled style than Davies' which could sometimes seem a bit chaotic.

David Tennant will always be my favorite, but Matt Smith is amazing at what he does. Yes I was sad to see Tennant leave, but I was glad someone like Matt Smith took his place. There is no need to flame about wanting David Tennant back, it just shows your immature. Of course I would like to see him back on the show but right now i'm perfectly fine with Matt Smith.
@Clubpenguin123dogs people have gone into the future. there r 3 ways to do it. 1) do nothing and u will go forwards @ 1 second per second. move very fast and u also move forwards in time. or u could just stand next to a strong gravitational field. it could b possible 2 go back in time but that would require a wormhole and there rnt any of those which r bigger than the strings the universe is made up of. i wish time travel was as easy as the doctor makes it look.

@Elinious - Assuming you are talking about the same trailer as is posted here, that is Mark Sheppard. He is a well known and acclaimed British actor--not American. His accent is a bit strange probably from his extensive work in America, playing "American" roles. But it is still rather obviously British. Don't feel bad though. Steven Moffat himself thought Mark was an American actor when casting for series 6.

Goodness, no! This is the UK Doctor Who, series 6, written by Stephen Moffat. BBCAmerica is only broadcasting it in the States because Doctor Who is a BBCUK programme. It is certainly NOT a spinoff. America had nothing to do with the making of this show - it's still British to the core! Not that there's anything wrong with the US, I just wanted to clarify things. :)

@dittotl if you dont want to see the "new guy", simply DO NOT WATCH HIM. Seriously. The whole show is about change. thats what keeps it interesting for almost fifty years. Youre just another Tennant fangirl screaming that your crush is gone, and you need to realise that the Doctor has had 11 incarnations, and they are all the same person. They ARE The Doctor. Matt Smith has picked up the mantle, and you need to respect that.

@123456789bleach Why not? its not the being in the timeline as much as meeting one's self in the timeline that causes a paradox. There are versions of the doctor all over the universe. The Doctor has to get to the next episode somehow! Its gotta have something to do with someone telling him what they must not tell him. "Time-travel duplicates are always doomed!" to quote Professor Farnsworth!
