I am sure this little bird knew you were there to help it even when it did bite. They spend so much of their life flying, if they had a saying I am certain it would be "the skys the limit", it must have been strange for it to be feeling grounded and must have been rather ill for it to land and change what is its habit of a lifetime. Thank you for looking after it, if everyone cared as much as you, the world wouldn't need healing!
It's nice too see that still someone cares bout wild animals ;) Without your help it wouldn't survive. I see it's a young common swift. I had the common swift chicks and during the hot days they didn't want eat until I watered them.
We just had one of these make its way across the grass in our back garden (a mixture of rolling and flapping), in an effort to make its way into our house! I think it was panicked as they don't like being on the ground. It ended up making its way towards our DVD shelf rack in the shade! We took it to the vets about an hour afterwards. It liked its head being stroked, as that's supposed to relax it. I wish I could have kept it. Never seen one up close before. They have the cutest faces. :)
They can eat waxworms and mill worms if you chop the head off and they can't take off from the ground or a hand, they have to be lifted into the air. They only land once a year and that's to nest.
the video is not playing! it's not ur pc...I thank u! for the valuble information that I gathered from the Pi Chi videos! amazing how you saved and put up with Pi Chi's occuptaion...! Taking care of Mimi and Mimika and seeing them go was a unique feeling that I'm sure your familiar with. thanx
I am not sure why but this video clip is not playing. Something wrong with my PC maybe? No problem with the other clip, though. I am happy that Pi-Chi and I have been of help. I can imagine how happy you feel to have saved these two lives. It is nice to see that, despite that humans are increasingly becoming insensitive, there are still generous hearts such as yours out there. Well done!

Common Swifts can't walk well or stand on the ground. They need to be thrown from at least 1,5 meters high. ;)
