Woodshed=Focused Practice/Applying theory to technique/developing technique...And no, I do NOT plagiarize-Might I point out that I have not released any original music onto the market /released any records so It is quite impossible for me to have plagiarized /thread
Buckethead does not have to plagiarize anyone even though his catalogue dwarfs page... Unlike page,...I dont care what anyone says, when u have the SAME chord progression, in the SAME key, in the SAME meter, with the SAME harmonic rhythm, with the SAME voice leading for the chords, with the SAME lyrics...as someone years before you; that is musical dishonesty and brings NOTHING new to the table
I am a musician (I spend 10+ hours a day studying/in the wood-shed/I am a university student studying music... AND I HAVE YET TO FIND A SCENARIO where I needed to resort to plagiarism, in order to create musically cogent and original material.
@nickshredsguitars 1: I'm sure you plagiarise without realising, even in subtle ways (e.g. listening to black keys - tighten up, i recognised the same chords as pepper's ghost)
Certainly they were great musicians, well maybe not Page-I found his plagiaristic habits and musical dishonesty to be repugnant. Haha I can see from your 31 thumbs that their are @ least 31 other sheep out there. Sometimes I dont think the world deserves people like buckethead
@nickshredsguitars Jimmy Page not a great musician, good one. You do realize that all musicians plagiarize right? Page just admitted it more readily than others, not to mention that the majority of their "plagiarism" was just laziness on Plant's part to change lyrics. Every song that was supposedly plagiarized was made infinitely better by the Zep. Not to mention very few musicians have ever been able to compose as many timeless melodies AND solos as Jimmy Page was able to.
one of his greatest songs! it's technically dazzling and it has beautiful parts, weird parts (typical for him) amazing heavy riffs, funky riff :) and it's just perfect as a whole. one of my favorites from him. And the part 2:43 is so goddamn beautiful. Love it! Keep it up with the nice set Buckethead!
WWBHD? - What Would Bucket Head Do? I worship at the totemic alter of his beeftacular manhood, like a newborn infant suckling on nutritious mommy tit. Or a meth whore slurping a fat dude's stumpy knob. Or a busy bee sipping sweet honey from a willing flower. I'm sure you feel the same...
@playingforbritain I will certainly NOT they not even close, Virtuossos like buckethead are a dime-a-dozen. I see your comment as no different than those stupid "you say...I say" ones that try to sneak in retards like slipknot and dragonforce onto some list of greats while Bieb-atron-jabing.
@nickshredsguitars You making the same mistake as many before you. I NEVER said that they were virtuosos, gods, the best guitarists, etc: All I was saying was that they were popular guitarists WITH THE MIDDLE NAME PATRICK. Personally, I like them all, but draw what conclusions you will. ITS JUST BECAUSE OF PATRICK.
@playingforbritain Clapton isn't as good as Jimmy or Buckethead, he barely wrote anything. Most of his best songs were either covers or written with George Harrison or Duane Allman. Don't get me wrong, hes an awesome player. But Jimmy and Buckethead have both personally written countless masterpieces.
@INTOtheVOID11 Page has often admitted to plagiarism, with songs such as Babe I'm Gonna Leave You and When The Levee Breaks. Besides, ONCE AGAIN, all I'm saying is that they share a middle name. NO OPINIONS INTENDED.
@HometownHonky Im guessing that this is the first Buckethead song you ever listened to. I have to admit, its not my favorite either, but go listen to Soothsayer. I garauntee that it will make you horny. :)
My favorite is Binge and Grab, Nottingham Lace, Beaten with Sledges, Soothesayer, Hog Slap, Cobra Hood, Electric Tears, Pandasma, and Dimebag are some of my favorites. I have yet to hear everything he has created. So this list continues to grow. I have listened to Bucky since I was about 10 and I am currently 20. His music varies from album to album and should not be compared to other talented guitarists like satriani, paul gilbert, or slash.
@HometownHonky You're probably one of those idiots who thinks after listening 3 songs of Buckethead he's listened to it all. His music is much like jazz, you don't like it on the first listen, maybe not on the 2nd or the 3rd, but the fact that YOU can't appriciate it, doesn't make it bad and it certainly requires some 'getting used to'. Just don't bother trying to blame your own deficiencies on the music.
@HometownHonky That's what you think. Buckethead fans are lucky enough to know and enjoy good music. I suppose you're the unlucky one. :\ Go listen to what you call "music" and be gone with your meaningless comments.
@HometownHonky go listen to soothsayer, the way to heaven, forgotten trail, padmasana, lurker at the threshold, interworld and the new innocence, witches on the heath, nottingham lace, whitewash, machete, and electric tears, then try to say this is soulless garbage and meaningless music.
@HometownHonky try and play it egofuck. you're just upset with yourself for some fucking idiotic reason, so you go to a video THAT YOU DON'T EVEN FUCKING ENJOY, and BOTHER people! FUCK OFF
@SerkantKnight Nobody knows. I don't think anybody's ever been sleeping or showering with him, and if they did, It would be either pretty damn exiting, or pretty damn gruesome.
We humans should start to live up to our species instead of fighting each other!
We should make Earth as one colony/country/world...whatever you call it!
And we should make Buckethead our leader!
Transforming his guitar into an ultimate weapon of mass-destruction so whenever he plays a note, lightning, fire, magnetic missiles and massive lazers will shoot towards our alien enemies!
I got a '100 favourite songs' list on youtube, since I live in Germany 92 songs arent available for me. I can still hear this one so there wasn't really a loss.
Buckethead based this song off of a movie, not dimebag darrell..that is a rumor. Bucket has said in many interviews he watches horror movies and plays guitar to them, this one is based on the movie Guinea Pig: The Android of Notre Dame.
There is a guy who made a channel titled Bucketheadhimself, and is taking his and other people's work and posting it as "BUCKETHEAD LEAKED" This is not buckethead, just some guy posing as him.

yeah, i know. all i know is he had spinal problems and he should make a full recovery very soon. bootsy collins updates buckethead's condition on his twitter account.
that would be perfect if he was released on halloween lol. i wonder if anybody has figured out where the hospital he has staying at was and visited. i would love to visit him.
Well this one is different(awesome) than the one i have on my Ipod -_-...Yeah those people are right support the artists and buy their music otherwise you end up with a shitty-ass version of the song.
