Hey guys, looks like it wasn't the Daily Show that changed, it was the Modify Headers extension. To fix it, try the following

1) Make sure the add-on bar is displayed (right-click at the top and select 'Add-on bar')

2) Click the smiley face on the bar

3) Click on 'Start'

4) Enjoy!! :)

@JesusDeSade Just managed to get it all working. I had to go a very slightly different route. I had to click Tools and then Add-Ons and then find Modify Headers in the Add Ons list and chose Options. Then I was able to Highlight Modifiy Headers on the list and click on the (very weird) smiley face in the top left hand corner of the window. Maybe these instructions will help people who have got a slightly different configuration? Or did I just get it wrong before?

Actually, it doesn't work with any version here. Really weird, as it had worked previously (on my old computer running Win7). @justnotcricket It should still work in Firefox 5. There is an option in the Modify Headers add-on, under 'Options > general' called 'Always on'. If you check that you can close the Modify headers window and continue to watch the daily show.

@pterzw another thing you can use is this thing called 'hotspot shield' (just google it) i used to use that for hulu and TDS. It usually works but a problem with it is that like every second page you load up turns out to be an advert page (with audio) and it's makes loading a bit slower. It may or may not work since i haven't used it in a while and they have blocked it prior to me using it.

I've been using this method with other sites like southparkstudios since several months. But sadly this only works with those sites that aren't using some more sophisticated method of tracking the users country. It doesn't work with YT or Hulo etc.

But using this method I don't have to leave the modify headers window open (I'm using FF on OSX). And instead of a random IP like 12.13.14.15 I chose a actual US-IP.

You can do it much easier:

Open Firefox, go to Tools, and Options.

Then "Advanced", "Network" tab, and then under "Connection" you can click "settings".

Here you can select an "no-proxy" or "manual-proxy configuartion". Here you can insert a proxy ip address. Search on google for a list of US proxys.

You pick a proxy, put it in, with the last two figures (After the colon) in the adjacent box.

Click "ok" and away you go.
