The intro was a bit silly as it went against the chief premise of the show. Captain Scarlet could be killed, and often was, before coming back to life. Therefore that machine-gun fire would have 'killed' him temporarily.

I always felt sorry for the Mysterons (like the Indians in the terrible westerns my Brother used to like). There they are on Mars, not causing anyone any bother ... Along come Spectrum, wreck their joint.. bound to be pissed off, stands to reason! But they're the bad guys! How come? they'd do a lot better if they didn't say "Earth man!" just before the crucial gunfight thingy, bit of a give away never mind the radio opaque X ray shadow stuff.

S is often suspicious, his colleagues clueless until... ) Anyway My Brother had a serious crush on Destiny Angel! I liked the episode when their planes got "Mysteronised" and turned charcoal grey & Capt. Ochre had the best uniform. I think the title sequence was probably half the budget for the first series.

Those circle lights used to reanimate somebody to work for the Mysterons. I remember one show a guy was sitting in his car in a gas station garage on the lift and they raised it up so much it crushed the car against the ceiling and killed the guy. The Mysterons reanimated him of course because they killed him. Later working a summer job at a gas station I learned the lifts don't go up that high. The things you learn as a kid from TV shows...

These programmes are on all the time they are on sky and freeview. The one about spaceships UFO? and space 1999, Capt Scarlet, Thunderbirds, all of them. You can also watch Thunderbirds in various languages dubbed over by the BBC into Indian. I don't watch television myself but at work we have loads of televisions watched by patients.
