this is so sweet, my son was born 8 weeks early, my blood pressure and preeclampsia, i was very scared, my blood pressure were at danger levels were i almost died. my son stayed in the NICU for 8 weeks. he is a thriving 2 year old and I am also grateful for the dr an nurses in my city
@yrkt27 I am so glad to hear that your son is okay and is a thriving 2yr old! :) It is frightening to think how one minute you are a healthy pregnant woman than the next you and your child could be at death's door. I am thankful everyday for my little miracles and I think about how lucky I am to have them.
Thank you for sharing your story! Your girls are so beautiful and it's great to hear you all made it through. I recently went through a c-section due to eclampsia and HELLP, both my girls weight 3lbs 14 oz and are currently in the NICU.
@hshelt Thank You for commenting. I know how hard it can be to have twins in the NICU that is for sure. But girl twins are so strong and I hope yours are doing well. I know I had some very strong feelings I had to deal with after having eclampsia and heart failure, also a birth that went so wrong, and so know if you ever need to talk about it, I am a good listener too. It is hard to find good support these days especially from someone who has been through what we went through.
@gypsydarklady It really is hard to find good support for this because it's not often someones situation gets so severe! My girls are almost 9 months now and doing well! I hope yours are as well. It's so great to see so many moms/people comment and put in their support. :)
You have a beautiful family :) I'm so glad to see the three of you are all happy, healthy, and well :) Thank you sharing your story to help raise awareness about this awful disorder preeclampsia.
It is nice to have people to talk to who have been there. I was so uneducated about preeclampsia and the warning signs and sometimes I still have nightmares about that day. And it grieves me to not have any memory of thier birth. That is something every woman wants to have. But I am so glad to be alive and to have them both. Thank you also for posting your video of Carson. He is adorable. I hope more people are educated because of it and more lives are saved.
