@lebbeus actually that's not true, it depends on the player. If you want transfer more power to change direction the T-Stop is best technique to use as long as you keep the core centered and not stand up too high or squat too loo. Even when using choppy steps you have to eventually plant your foot to change direction.
nobody really uses T-stop anymore, coaches like the choppy steps, it helps u to change direction faster than t-steps
