I was fortunate enough to see Kiril in August. WOW! Having seen the show in London four times, each Billy has their own strengths & makes the show their own. Kiril was the best at ballet of any I have seen. He has the talent and work ethic to go far. His voice is not amazing, he comes from ballet and he is very good at it; of course his accent is fake, he is a russian born american boy; if you want to see original Billy Elliot - go to London or at least get an old original movie.. It is a beautiful story, being commercilized on Broadway (no offence to the young dancers - not their fault..)

Kiril is not Russian born, he was born in San Diego, his parents are Russian born.

It wasn't commercialized by Broadway, it was commercial to begin with, movie making is a business.

The story was made more political on the stage, and less about Billy and his family.

The London production was no better than than the Broadway.

I love Billy Elliot, the music is incredible, the singing is superb, the story is simply amazing, but I hardly ever listen to the soundtrack? Why? Because there is a freaking musical interlude in every single song. It gets so annoying, especially when you are listening to Electricity and having an emotional high, and all of a sudden they go into this electric slide musical interlude. It's such a fail. Elton John did much much better work with Aida, seriously. >_>

All of the boys who have played Billy on all 3 continents have different choreography for their "Electricity" dance. This usually ( but not always ) depends on what kind of dance they have had most experience in pryor to playing Billy. Boys from a strong ballet backgound will dance a predominately ballet version of the dance. There is not a huge difference between David and Kirils "Electricty and Trents would be considered a ballet version too. In London its not uncommon to see a street version.

I have been fortunate enough to see Billy Elliot four times in London with a variety of Billy's (Travis Yates, Matthew Koon, Layton Williams & I'm totally blanking out on who we saw this year-sorry!) But in watching this video this is the first time I have ended up watching the Young Billy vs. the Older Billy. Sorry guys, you are all wonderful but it's very hard to compete with the maturity & expression of an adult star. But Kiril dances with a maturity far beyond his years.

I was ecstatic yesterday when they posted Kiril playing the role of Billy. It was my first Broadway show and it was an amazing experience!
