she was in a car accident after she walked in on sonny and alexis in bed she flipped out and her car went into the river. No one could find her. AJ faked the body and everything so he could automatically have custody of michael! I guess carly went into shock and she suffered from short term memory loss she forgot what sonny did and didnt really grasp what was going on. CARSON FOREVR! they are perfect together no matter what!! <3
