  • This is very close to the Mormon Tabernacle arrangement which, imhp, is by far the best and brilliant arrangement of this song.

Are they using it? It's exactly the same.

  • iSanqq this sonqq with my choir not too lonqq..iLove this sonqq.!! <3

  • I remember singing this song for my school district honor choir, it was such a beautiful song, especially the flute accompaniment, good memories.

  • This song was played at my father's funeral. I was strong during the it for my mom but listening to it now I can't help but get choked up. Beautiful song. Thanks for uploading.

  • This is Mack Wilberg's arrangement.. the Mormon Tabernacle Choir's version.. Right??

  • yes it is his!!

  • @jonbarrhdz yes it is

  • i sang this for my regionals choir :)

  • BEAUTIFUL job,USM!!! I'm using your version as a teaching aid for my little choir.

  • The key to properly performing this arrangement lies in proper treatment of the eighth note pairs prior to each downbeat. Let them lag, and the entire piece suffers.

In that respect the conductor does a commendable job of indicating the downbeat slightly early, reminding the choristers that those eighth notes are not particularly important.

This is certainly better than the a cappella performance Biola University gave at Hansen Hall. Remember that one, Ert?

  • You all did a wonderful job! This is my favorite piece of choral music ever.

  • This is my favorite arrangement of this hymn. It's beautiful =].

  • Ya'll sound fantastic! I love this hymn and this arrangement is just gorgeous.
