Are there holes drilled in the standard Ravelle Deluxe to install a Fernandes Ravelle pickguard? Because I'd love to put a black pickguard on a white Ravelle.
I've wanted one of these forever. I currently have a Les Paul Studio, but I play more blues-metal, which is a lot crunchier. Do you guys have any shops in Maine where Fernandes are sold?
yeah theres alot of things wrong in the book, sometimes he writes kirschner sometimes kurschner, sometimes tidus sloan, and sometime like tides sloan stuff like that
The neck pickup is actually a Fernandes Sustainer. There are a few of them about. Steve Vai is big on them. It basically feeds back some of the signal into the strings which makes them produce notes without the pick. And they usually are high pitched awesome harmonics.
He seems like a really cool guy. Too bad Scott Weiland is a huge jerk. I just hope Velvet Revolver finds a good vocalist and makes another album as good/better than "Contraband."
Probably cause people like to hear harmonics sustaining for a long time, so it's good to hear them ring ..well, not even 'out', but just ring. I'm sure it plays will with anything else, it's just what you want to use it for.
I just got a deluxe ravelle and it rocks the sustainer is amazing if you're into rock metal and being really loud! the only thing missing is a tremoilo but they have other modes with sustainer and tremolos! Great guitar overall!
so does it have a sustainer system? i dont know anything about fernandes guitars, and if so how come he can use both the emg system and sustainer on one guitar? sorry im an idiot
yes, they are very nice especially for a starter guitar. I personally think it's more suited for playing rythmn, then lead. It's a good simple guitar that's easy to use, it looks beautiful and unique, and it's got some powerful sound that's just lovely when played without distortion and with distortion it rocks out loud.
I haven't had any real problems with it. Just don't rapidly turn the volume knob up and down like I did,(trying to emulate that effect from green day's boulevard of broken dreams) because if i put the volume up only half way it makes a hissing noise, no big deal tho. hope that was somewhat helpful.
i don't find the neck being too thick, its about medium thick, 'C' shape profile. Not as thin as an ibenez wizard neck, but i can still slide up and down pretty quick. Harder upper fret access is a small downside, but you'd expect that in single cut-a-way.
single cutaway u mean les paul shape? would the ibanez iceman be considered single cutaway? also why have single cuts when there are double cutaways for easier playing
Yeah a les paul has a single cutaway type body. I haven't looked at an iceman so i don't know about it. It's really a preference type thing I think when comes to choosing the shape of your guitar. Though I do want to get a nice Ibenez RG which is a double cutaway for more of a lead guitar. The Ravelle I'd keep for rythym.
Thanx alot For Your Vote.....You Rock..But I Can Pl;ay Guitar Way Better then You Could Ever

no the sustainer pickup comes with 2 switches on that starts the sustain and another switch to start a harmonic.

i dont think you can solo with it, the necks on fernandes are too thick
BiGBoShMaN 5 years ago

mrcolin 4 years ago
lol,is there any pics of Single Cutaways, no dictionaries i checked have the damn definition
BiGBoShMaN 4 years ago
heheh just look at the guitar in the movie ^^
mrcolin 4 years ago
Because singlecuts have more bodymass, therefore longer sustain, which is important for a rythym player
ibanezbloke 4 years ago
wow just because a neck is thick doesn't mean you can't solo on it at all :|
hyousetsusama 4 years ago
well it makes it harder to solo especially for people with smaller hands
BiGBoShMaN 4 years ago
true but saying you can't solo at all on it is a little silly lol

i got his guitar lol no lie i do...its gd bt uses a batterey which is crapy

Like all sustainer and or emg equipped guitars... try to pull out the plug when you stop playing. saves batteries
