  • Thanx alot For Your Vote.....You Rock..But I Can Pl;ay Guitar Way Better then You Could Ever

  • Are there holes drilled in the standard Ravelle Deluxe to install a Fernandes Ravelle pickguard? Because I'd love to put a black pickguard on a white Ravelle.

  • I've wanted one of these forever. I currently have a Les Paul Studio, but I play more blues-metal, which is a lot crunchier. Do you guys have any shops in Maine where Fernandes are sold?

  • @MrAttentionSpan Please call toll free 1-866-632-8346 to locate a dealer near you.

  • ravelles are awesome!!

  • Dave seems like a pretty chill, cool guy.

  • very very cool

  • slash spells his name wrong in his book :P he spells it "kirschner"

  • yeah theres alot of things wrong in the book, sometimes he writes kirschner sometimes kurschner, sometimes tidus sloan, and sometime like tides sloan stuff like that

  • doesn't he even tell the same story twice about his body guard moving the tv across the balcony!

  • maybe not sure though haha

  • my new les paul doesnt look as cool :(

  • is it just me or does Dave look like The Edge?

  • Hmmmm.......yeah, but The Edge has a lighter goatee and tan.

  • lol

  • wow really sick looking guitar !!!!!!!!!

  • saan ba makakabili ng fernandes sustainer??? dito sa pinas?

  • what song i playing at 4:30 to 5:10

  • also what song is her playing at 1.45

  • It's Superhuman by Velvet Revolver (from their first album, Contraband)

  • 2:00 how does he do it?

  • The neck pickup is actually a Fernandes Sustainer. There are a few of them about. Steve Vai is big on them. It basically feeds back some of the signal into the strings which makes them produce notes without the pick. And they usually are high pitched awesome harmonics.

  • Thanks dude!

  • It has two positions. Normal and harmonic.

  • i bought a ravelle about 3 years ago and for the life of me cannot find a pickguard for it. help anyone

  • Real cool guitar...great guitar player too, I saw Velvet Revolver live four times and they are great!

  • Dave seemed to switch to Gibson's for the Libertad tour. I guess fernandes stopped making it after that.

  • do they still make Dave Kushners sig model cause i cant find it on the fernandes web site

  • Dave's voice is lighter than I thought

  • He seems like a really cool guy. Too bad Scott Weiland is a huge jerk. I just hope Velvet Revolver finds a good vocalist and makes another album as good/better than "Contraband."

  • Dave really knos how to rock, YEAH

  • does the sustainer only work good with harmonics? what about just regular notes or bends?

  • Probably cause people like to hear harmonics sustaining for a long time, so it's good to hear them ring ..well, not even 'out', but just ring. I'm sure it plays will with anything else, it's just what you want to use it for.

  • no the sustainer pickup comes with 2 switches on that starts the sustain and another switch to start a harmonic.

  • im confused. on here it says dave uses fernandes guitars, but in the interview w/ dunlop tv it says he uses gibsons

  • Are there lefty Ravelle guitars?

  • Nope. From my convos with their rep, doesn't seem like it is likely either. Being lefty sucks...

  • Well i'll tell you how it happened, uuuuuhh...

    lol :p

  • dave's a great guy

  • He's got a sweet accent!

  • he does...

  • if only made in jp or USA and the green and blue is really metallic not look like gloomy i'll buy it 2 of them for sure

  • Saw Velvet Revolver in Leeds 16/03/08 and it looks like he's been converted to Gibson guitars now! And Rightly so!!

  • He has. I heard him say somewhere that they changed factories or something and the quality was never the same.

  • gibson, pfft.

  • i jus got mine today it is a really nice guitar

  • where u get from?

  • they discontinued em i think try ebay

  • Dave is sweeeet!

  • that guitar looks like a bastard son of lespaul and mockinbird , so it's gotta be bad ass :D

  • lolol it really is.

    very nice guitar

  • i never thought of it that way

    lol good one

  • yeah! i agree with you. Its a cross between a les paul and a mockingbird. a kiss ass guitar for sure!

  • It also looks a bit like the Paul Stanley Washburn Sig.

  • @iMauri more like a les paul and an ibanez iceman

  • I just got a deluxe ravelle and it rocks the sustainer is amazing if you're into rock metal and being really loud! the only thing missing is a tremoilo but they have other modes with sustainer and tremolos! Great guitar overall!

  • i don't know what it is about those guitars, but I want one!

  • they're sexy, but not as sexy as a Gibson Les Paul hahah :]

  • so does it have a sustainer system? i dont know anything about fernandes guitars, and if so how come he can use both the emg system and sustainer on one guitar? sorry im an idiot

  • yep it has both.

  • aha he has the slash figure next to his comp :P

  • I don't think kushner is one of those posers as you say. but even if it was, wtf!

  • Does anyone know HOW to install one of these? I need some help with mine :(

  • I love the screen saver of all the pot plants

  • well his name is Dave KUSHner.. lol

  • i love the black ravelle

  • Does Dave play any of the VR solo's, or is it just slash?

  • Check out Dave's solo at the end of this song: youtube/watch?v=dTjXW2mh2pQ

  • wow, it's really great!

  • Hey, when are you guys going to give us a lefty Ravelle?

  • i have a ravelle and they are soo nice to play, i mean i solo on it all the time and its easy so i dont know what u guys are on about!

  • haha nice he had a marijuana wallpaper on his pc

  • Dammit, Dave is so adorable.

  • does anyone no where to get one in glasgow or edinburgh or any areas around there

  • i got metallic grey ravelle X. i want the blue DK one :)

  • hey mr colin i was very interested in getting a ravelle x would u recommend them?

  • yes, they are very nice especially for a starter guitar. I personally think it's more suited for playing rythmn, then lead. It's a good simple guitar that's easy to use, it looks beautiful and unique, and it's got some powerful sound that's just lovely when played without distortion and with distortion it rocks out loud.

  • I haven't had any real problems with it. Just don't rapidly turn the volume knob up and down like I did,(trying to emulate that effect from green day's boulevard of broken dreams) because if i put the volume up only half way it makes a hissing noise, no big deal tho. hope that was somewhat helpful.

  • i dont think you can solo with it, the necks on fernandes are too thick

  • i don't find the neck being too thick, its about medium thick, 'C' shape profile. Not as thin as an ibenez wizard neck, but i can still slide up and down pretty quick. Harder upper fret access is a small downside, but you'd expect that in single cut-a-way.

  • single cutaway u mean les paul shape? would the ibanez iceman be considered single cutaway? also why have single cuts when there are double cutaways for easier playing

  • Yeah a les paul has a single cutaway type body. I haven't looked at an iceman so i don't know about it. It's really a preference type thing I think when comes to choosing the shape of your guitar. Though I do want to get a nice Ibenez RG which is a double cutaway for more of a lead guitar. The Ravelle I'd keep for rythym.

  • lol,is there any pics of Single Cutaways, no dictionaries i checked have the damn definition

  • heheh just look at the guitar in the movie ^^

  • Because singlecuts have more bodymass, therefore longer sustain, which is important for a rythym player

  • wow just because a neck is thick doesn't mean you can't solo on it at all :|

  • well it makes it harder to solo especially for people with smaller hands

  • true but saying you can't solo at all on it is a little silly lol

  • i got his guitar lol no lie i do...its gd bt uses a batterey which is crapy

  • Like all sustainer and or emg equipped guitars... try to pull out the plug when you stop playing. saves batteries

  • Great! Cool detail interview
