The whistle-note was real, but it sounds like it was electronically dubbed into that section of this clip - similar to an altered image (photoshop) in photography. The entire tone and ambiance of the orchestra and audience in the whistle-note segment (1:35 - 1:37) was different than the rest of the video.

@TheTranslator100 Nah, the whistle-note is really being sang there in that clip. The orchestra all but stopped playing at that bit, is all. Also, it looks fake because Mariah tries(or maybe does too, I dunno) hit a whistle note, and the camera focuses on her. However, the whistle note you actually hear is from Patti, drowning Mariah out. And come on, who wouldn't be drowned out by Patti, with her lungs of steel? :P

But when you get right down to it, there was only one singer who, in her heyday, could come close to matching Patti and that was Chaka Khan, and even though I PREFER Chaka, I still say Patti is still #1. Whitney Houston? Please. She's not even as versatile as Mariah. Watch this video again and you'll notice its Patti that's holding back, not Mariah. I have seen this performane many times, especially the one that reads; PATTI DUMPs MARiAH. But this is the only that i can actually hear Mariah when they get to the HEY HEY HEY HEY!!!!!!!!! lol .
