  • Nice! Way-layed em' good!

Would be nice to see the bands though.

Not saying you didn't shoot 3 banded birds out of the same flock, but to the wankers who don't believe you, this would prove your telling the truth.

    Nice shootng anyway.

  • some buddies of mine killed 5 in one group, all banded with consequitve numbers

  • Ya sure and once I shot 19 banded dove with 1 shot!

  • do that down here in southeast Texas and I'll be impressed.

  • Killed 14 bands opening day of michigans early season. dont believe me, give me your email and i shall show you.

  • i had a buddy in iowa and him and 4 other guys kill a whole family of ten and 6 of em were banded

  • dis-i-like

  • great huntin, only thing i hate about where i live in western pa is that there are no geese on gamelands but you go to a tiny pond in the city and you could probably hit 20 with one shell.

  • they aren't abnded, i'm raising the BS flag on this one.

  • Got nothing better to do?

  • @rockybalboaforever Man, I can't think of many things better than that right there!!

  • @stewpeezy72 lol

  • @rockybalboaforever Don't you have anything better to do?

  • You know that targeting banded birds affects the harvest limits the following season right! Its one of the methods states use to estimate the size of the goose population. By shooting more banded you make the population appear, from a data standpoint, to have decreased... thus decreased bag limits/ days a field.

  • @Mountainbiker035 1st of all, with that way of thinking it sounds like your stuck in the 90's. It doesn't limit the season, but it does help to establish guide lines. With any renewable resource, there has to be management. And actually our seasons are actually quite liberal here in PA, especially in the early goose season where we are allowed 8 birds per day. We don't TARGET bands, but we sure do report em... If you wanna keep the resource, make sure to do your part as well.

  • @Mountainbiker035 do you know the questions you get asked when you buy your migratory license on how many you killed of each determines the population more there is also surveys you can participate in which is helpful to manage waterfowl populations

  • @Mountainbiker035 bro, you think they were targeted? have you ever hunted? I doubt they were picking out those 3 birds of the 9 and got 2 more without bands---you can't see that stuff when your shooting that quick.---

  • @Mountainbiker035 They put bands on birds to track migration, the only way they get the info from the bands is people killng them..... obviously. And how would they know there were bands on the birds when they shot?

  • @Mountainbiker035 Targeting banded birds? These guys must have some sort of superhero vision to be able to pick out the banded birds in a flock of moving geese. Could it have been one hell of a good shoot? That's my guess.

  • @Mountainbiker035 hes a mountain biker not a hunter... give him some slack.

  • It makes sense because they probably got tagged together. Geese mate with the same couples for life so they all stayed togetheer.

  • @DuckHunter813 BS they find new mates

  • i have shot a canadian geese with 2 12 gauge 2 .5inch BBB magnum rounds and it never dropped and i was 30ft above me i never found it :(

  • @GWR4079 12 gauge with 2.5"? what type of gun is that?

  • @guinnstout 2.1/2 shells i ment lol

  • Goose are FUCKING annoying, everytime i see one of those annoying, over defensive long-necked fuckers i just feel like snapping its neck in twain

  • Canada Geese are a pain where we live--2 lbs of poop a day and they pollute the lakes. The Geese stay year round, and have to be shot or trapped.

  • @sr633 Same thing here in South Dakota.

  • fuck you in the knee-ej du wixxer man you want to be when you only as your needs just downstream OGEL shot? fuck you I hope you die once

  • i counted 4 shot?

  • dude they came in so pretty holy shit

  • in canada we shot 5 banded snows in 1 flock

  • Must be east coast where every golf course bands their geese?

  • @locknloadvideo We are in PA, not alot of banding projects, but we know where every single one of em is : )

  • I dont speak English very well, but it isn t good hunters. they kill a first goose (leader), and next year this family without leader must die.

  • @zlegik not true at all when migrating they will switch leaders throughout flight just like a cyclist would in a team bicycle race

  • @mikelching You're fucking retarded... where do you hear this false information?

  • @mikelching out of season maybe, but otherwise there are controlled seasons in almost every state in the US, and Canada as well

  • @mikelching

Much to learn you still have, now go suck a big black dick

  • @mikelching

Boy are you naive. Ever hear of the Duck Stamp? It is for migratory birds, and their taking is regulated federally in the US in addition to state hunts. Also I have never heard of Canadian geese, there are these birds called Canada Geese that I enjoy shooting whenever I get a chance, but nope no such thing as Canadian Geese.

  • @mikelching you couldn't be more completely wrong....the Canada goose has become over populated and a problem in Canada it destroys habitat in the north by over browsing(harming other species food sources) because of unusually high numbers returning made possible by all the feed in agriculture fields in its southern wintering grounds,as well as having become a pest in the city and at airports ...not only is Canada goose hunting encouraged they even open extra seasons now in some places.

  • @mikelching yeah okay

  • @mikelching are u fucking stupid?

  • @mikelching are you fucking high? get your facts straight you tool.

  • @mikelching your a retard

  • @mikelching actually the u.s. fish and game makes national limits and the states just post them and enforce them, usually goose season is opened in november and ended sometime around january or february.

  • @mikelching Canadian Geese?? You can't possible know what you're talking about if you call them "Canadian Geese" LMAO. Go hug a tree and Bro-bama

  • @guinnstout : This is canadian goose! So he CAN "possible know what he is talking about".... Goose/geese SAME SHIT. TØRD!

  • @Wormen88 Actually it is not the same thing... Careful what you write, your stupidity is showing. Are you and mikelching hugging the same tree or in the same protest line to protect the red imported fire ant?

  • @mikelching no its not we kill 4 geese per a person each day here in kansas

  • @mikelching I don' t know where you get your info from, but canadian geese are like flying rats in MN. The goose season is twice as long as duck season because of it. They are a mess and a lot of people consider them a menace.

  • @mikelching That would be news to me and the billion dollar industry of hunting them. There are so many of them in South Dakota that we open up special management hunts on the locals before the northern birds migrate in. They have reached the level of pests. I bet I have over a thousand fly over my house in town every day, even in the winter.

  • @mikelching how...stupid...are...you? they HAVE A CANADIAN GOOSE SEASON IN MAINE! as a matter of fact as of 4-16-11 at 7:27 am the season for 2011 CANADIAN GOOSE hunting is from the date of september 1st-25th and it is labelled as CANADIAN GOOSE, not american/or otherwise, just CANADIAN, so be quiet, and stop trolling.

  • @mikelching There called canada geese not canadian geese

  • @WATERFOWL3R they're not there since you're being so picky about the bird description

  • @WATERFOWL3R they're

  • @mikelching Thats a huge myth that pisses me off. I'm allowed to shoot 5 of the tasty bastards a day , with my migratory bird stamp

  • @mikelching you're a fool.

  • @mikelching where do you buy your weed

  • is full choke with 3" shells with a 12 gauge good for geese?

  • @Jacksurgu

The way we hunt, we use a modified and many of us use 2 3/4 since they are so close, but I use 3 inch shells, and can take the geese easily with 4s but I normally hunt with 2s.

  • PwWwWND GEESE

  • are getting banded birds a big deal? We get them on brant and send the info in.

  • that's awesome. Any plastic tarsus bands on those brant yet???

  • got one once with neck band, plastic leg band, and one metal band. also my partner shot a swan with neck band.

  • @muktukbill why would you shoot a swan? i mean in all seriousness, can you eat a swan?

  • @direwolfmusic We eat swans every spring and fall, I usually bone the breast and legs, use the other meat all in one big pot of soup. It feeds my family for two days. Don't forget the heart and gizzard. Serious. I've always eaten swans.

  • @stewpeezy72 I got a few bands all the way up here in Alaska quite a few years back. Before I knew about sending in the info. I don't remember where I put them for the life of me. Haven't shot any banded birds since then, and that is quite alot of birds between then and now. That was when I was 13, am now 25.

  • @muktukbill yes... they are very rare u are lucky 2 kill 1 a year

  • Nice!

  • what gun you using buddy?

  • 3 guns used in the vid are

Benelli nova, 870 super mag, and Beretta xtrema

  • @stewpeezy72 oooh I am thinking of getting the Benelli Supernova ?? :) What do you think??

  • ohh cool,

  • Now i werent expecting that! :) Brilliant!

  • what does it mean if they are "banded"?

    why is that good?

  • it means they have a band on their legs from the wildlife foundation i think..its just a prize if you will...jewelry:)

  • It seems to me these guys pulled up on them too late. I would have pulled up on them as they were coming straight for at the blind about 2 seconds earlier.

  • u see how the blinds are angled??? we were supposed to be cross shooting, rather than straight on

  • no pics of the bands??? no pics, didn't happen!

  • yeah, check the video response ace

  • damn, i like that LOL

  • 4 not 3 ye fucking apes learn how to count

  • only 3 had bands numb nuts

  • oh not to mention, 5 fell in all, not 4

  • kool

  • yeah man, yall are lucky. I shot a banded goose the other day. we had a group of about 2 dozen come over us high as hell. i got 1 out of the bunch. fucker weighed about 20 lbs and a neck of around 5 inches around. Was banded. Great kill man

  • man....u guys were lucky...

we shot at a group of about 30 doz.+ and we got 16 allusions but no banded...lol...no luck on our side i guess..

  • where u guys hunt in

  • we're in eastern PA

  • always enjoy your videos!!!

  • thanks, I sure enjoy makin em!!

  • we are from canada and are about an hour and a half north from the sweetgrass montanna border and once my grandpa shot a banded goose that was from washington dc,i guess it was a long ways from home lol

  • prove there banded

  • well theres a video response right up there brotha!! Bling, Bling, Bling!!

  • I live in southern New England and just about once a season we get a banded bird out of 15-20. Nothing like the early season though!

  • We shot 32 Banded birds last year, we still got a few good spots open for the September season if your interested in coming down!!

  • Comment removed

  • good for you, but only about 1 out of every hundred birds is banded in the US. we shot almost 1,300 this year, and got 30 bands

  • Naaa man im just pullin your leg, ive never actually killed a banded bird, its always been my dream...

  • im 13 and ive already shot a goose and a drake mallard with a band. cool huh?

  • Thats awesome man, maybe ill have some luck this year

  • ive hunted for 4 years, both rivers and my lake, and killed many hundreds of ducks, not too mant geese, but ive only had one band! You must have the odds with you!

  • my cousins turning 40 soon and hes never shot a bird with a band and hes been hunting since he was 12

  • yep, youve got to get lucky here in kentucky and tennessee. ive never been out west to hunt ducks, id like to.

  • we hunt in michigan, kentucky and tenessee would be sweet to try hunting there.

  • Its alot of fun!

mainly because with land conservation, you can keep the same birds basically year around. We have alot of teal and wigeons, mallards seem to be at bigger bodies of water. we have a damn, grow crops in the spring and flood around mid october.

  • When your decoying geese, how many decoys do you need as a minimum? Me and my dad are thinking about buying some goose decoys, but we dont wanna get like 20 - 30 because there so exspensive and we would only use them like once a year, so if we just got 3 or four would they still work well?

  • use the decoys twice a week in season and the cost per kill goes way down

  • We did the exact same thing this season. 9 came in. 3 got dropped. All 3 banded. I bet the whole flock was banded. Wish I had mine on video. Good job.

  • What do the bands represent?

    cheers

  • The banded birds have been captured in the wild by the us fish and wildlife service, or Canadadian wildlife agencies and banded as to track migration patterns. They have a metal band on there leg with a number, which you call and report. They send you a certificate with the banding information on the bird, including banding location and age of the bird!!

  • Tracking. I once shot a canada that was 18 years old! It cooked ok.....

  • nice video! wht kind of calls do u use?

  • I use a heartland flatliner, and my buddy uses a zinc little man

  • i love all of your waterfowl hunting vids. i also hunt geese in PA where are you guys hunting at

  • We hunt the entire eastern half of the state. Wherever the geese are!!

  • Like your videos stewpeezy.....very good camera shots.Stay in touch, maybe we can exchange hunts sometime.

  • the guy below me needs to drink a bullet.

  • hahahaha yep, hes got the wrong name there

  • what's up with banded geese?...what does that mean?

  • They all 3 had Avise leg bands!!! They were banded together, they died together!!!

  • So of the 5 shot, 3 had bands?

  • yup, tand that was only 3 of the 29 bands we got this season!!
