I always look for a menaphite south of the pub and then lure him into the western-most house (so the one directly east of the purple tent and south of the camels). This because there are one or two of these menaphites that will stop attacking you when you're at the western-most space in that house, so you won't need to climb up ladders in case you screw up =P

use wine instead of monks, it may heal less, but its EXTREMELY cheaper. and when you fail, you have to immediately knock them out. if they go into combat, go up a ladder or something. I use the room next to camels just in case I mess up. anyways, good guide, 8/10

actually going up a ladder when they say they'll kill you is a shit idea!!, i found a glitch that will let you pickpocket them no matter what, this is how you do it:

when they say they'll kill you try to pickpocket them as fast as you can. once you pickpoccket the noob he won't attack you and you can continue pickpocketing and smashing his brains out without wasting precious time going up and down the ladder

It's not hard, more monotonous - I find I get into the swing of it and just start clicking in the right places naturally. If you don't take breaks every 30/60 minutes it is pretty hard, since you start getting distracted and bored and slowly lose your will to live ^^.

Also, regeneration bracelet (about 300k) is definitely worth the money, making you regenerate 2hp per minute instead of one - if you need to you can rapid heal pray as well for 2hp per 30 seconds.

Again, by far the best is the use of a bunyip or unicorn, bunyip gives 2hp every 15 seconds (8 per minute) and add that to regeneration bracelet.... well it's clear to see its worth it.

You can still train effectively and efficiently with just regeneration bracelet. I'm 78 thieving (70 yesterday (yuh, its that fast)) doing just that, and I only have to re-buy wine (27 of) every 70-100k exp - which is roughly every 20-30mins.

The maple blackjack is necessary to knock them out, I believe oak/willow blackjacks have much lower rates of knockout than maple, so its more than worth it to get a maple one.

It doesn't matter if its (d), (o) or nothing after the Blackjack name, as long as its maple.

I would definitely advise wines over monks. Wine = 80gp, 11hp heal, can buy from bar in pollvineach (closer and quicker than buying from other guy).

Monks = 260gp, heals 16 - waste of money and time.
