super jealous of the Tomba score ive been hunting for that game for over 2 years now and every auction i get into it goes beyond my budget congrats tho its an amazing game and so is the second one
@EdwardElric555 Yet another loser trying to act smart on the internet. You deserved to get wrecked by someone who knows more than you. Sit the fuck down, bitch.
I would personally love to see more collection videos (DS and other consoles). You always have something to say about each game - this actually made me try games I otherwise wouldn't have looked up. Very much enjoy how you have a positive outlook as well (that's sadly uncommon when it comes to gaming nowadays).
I really want to look into Pier Solar now. Seems to be well worth the money.
@tvandlust what is it that captivated you about collecting for the DS, did you kind just have a lot and though may aswell or was it an actual passion for the system that kicked it all off?
@GigaSlashgaming The system just really appealed to me. I love portables and I love quirky niche games, and the DS is ripe with those. I just love its library.
Really nice update, Craig! Glad to see your PS2 & DS collection getting beefed up, the PS2 is definitely one of my favourite systems of all time & the DS is an awesome handheld (:
Another excellent video. I am not sure if you address this in another video or not but if you do could you point me to it that would be great anyway I was wondering why you choose one platform over another for multi platform games?
@JKajTech Sometimes it depends on cost/availability, sometimes it's about bonuses exclusive to that platform. Usually it's just about preference; I prefer the 360 over the PS3, for example, but on the other hand, if the PS3 runs better or has exclusive bonuses, I'll probably get that version.
I'm puzzled as to why you don't like the control system in Ivy the Kiwi? - I thought the controls were superb! Its one of my all time favourite DS games. I think its well worth another shot.
Great to see so many awesome DS games in your pick-ups - I have to say that the "girly" Super Princess Peach is a guilty pleasure of mine, I love the visulas and the level designs are very very good.
actully peach should be in the games because she's very with her umbrella by hitting the enemies and throw them. I call that useful because not a lot a female characters but in my eyes Peach is nothing like that...and she has a double jump she can use in the game. Super Princess Peach is my favourite ds game ever made because i'm a huge peach fan and a mario fan too and i'm hoping they make a sequel to that because she needs more games of her own. I'm gonna post a rant on that pretty soon
Did you never play Kirby Super Star on the Super Nintendo? If not then you still have the definitive version now. My favorite Kirby game aside from 64 and return to Dreamland
I think you should do updated collection videos. Not so much to know what you have, but to hear your impressions on each game, and if they've changed at all. I just think that'd be kinda neat, but that's just me.
Definitely considering getting that Pier Solar reprint. I would normally never pay $49 plus shipping for a genesis game, but I have to consider it IS a new game (and probably more fun than the majority of new current gen games) and more importantly I really want to support this developer. On a side note, Gamestop might as well be giving away PS2 games! Got 5 of them for a total of $11, and good titles too like Jak II and Grand Turismo 3. Great video.
Pier Solar is made by Americans. So how can it be a JRPG yeah idiot. Also modern day publishers DO print colour manuals, a good example is Tecmo Koei.
@EdwardElric555 a game can still be a JRPG if its made in the US, its a genre. Yes, it does have Japanese in the name but it is still a design style. If you saw a game with anime and very Japanese themes but was made in the us would you call it a westernised RPG? nope, Chuck Testa.
@PhishTaco9 AHHHAHAHAHAHA JRPG is a genre what planet are you from? Your telling me that a Final Fantasy game is in the same genre as Fire Emblem or Kingdom Hearts. Dude do some fucking research, look up as many RPGs from Japan as you can and see how many different sub genres. And I wouldn't call it a WRPG either that's even more retarded, it's a turn based RPG. Being from Japan or the "West" has nothing to do with game design. And I really wish Craig would do some damn research.
@EdwardElric555 Oh grow up. The term "J" in "JRPG" does indeed stand for Japanese, but the term has come to also make a distinction in terms of design or inspiration, and not necessarily the country of origin. For someone who JUST said a game's country of origin has nothing to do with game design, you sure seem to be getting hung up on it.
And WaterMelon's core team is Brazilian, not American as you claim. How's THAT for some damn research?
@tvandlust FFUUU. Your telling me that a JRPG, has nothing to do with origin. THEN WHY IS IT IN THE NAME. A genre is a category of a media product that have the same elements that make it a genre. Japan makes too many different kinds of RPGs for that name to apply. Also JRPG is a new term that idiotic game journalist have shoved down peoples neck when it's wrong and doesn't mean anything.
@EdwardElric555 Why action games like God of War filled with tons of inactive cut scenes? I don't know. More importantly, who gives a shit? Genres bleed into each other now. It's more of a description than a neat little box that socially inept people cry about on the Internet.
And I know about WaterMelon's dev team because I DO actually do my research on my games. How does a person even hear of a game like Pier Solar without research? Come the fuck off, man.
@tvandlust Your avoiding the subject. If you don't give a shit then I guess you don't give a shit about your hobby. Furthermore genre definition is important it sets one product from another and requires deep & careful thinking, and is another step required if games are to be taken seriously. Actually GoW is considered an Action-Adventure (another genre label I have a problem with) game with Fantasy elements.
@EdwardElric555 I'm not avoiding the subject: Genres are amorphous; they grow and change as new conventions are implemented and combined, and as new terms enter common usage. They are miniature descriptions, not unchanging prisons. They are also super unimportant, require zero thinking and have nothing to do with games being taken seriously. Genres have nothing to do with anything at all. Ever. Only the sort of neurotic people who labeled their high school classmates give a shit.
@tvandlust If genres are not set in stone then its not a genre. Trends appear and then they became a subgenre that doesn't mean don't have the elements of genre they spawned from. If genres are not important then why is it taught at an academic level in Film Studies or Art class. You my think there unimportant but there not there a backbone to understanding media. A term like JRPG can't be a game genre because there no consistently, it's just a terrible term for describing Turn Based RPGs.
I want to see you updated DS collection or even your 3DS collection that will be cool anyways keep up the good continue being a great a great guy that you are now.
how do you record how many games you have?(in the general concept) Do you count them up everytime you get a new one? or do you tally them? I'd really like to know :)
I still need to someday try the Dark Cloud series and R&C on the Ps2. I've never seen Solar Pier for the Sega genesis , it might be an interesting game. Also I was not aware that they make a DS version of Viva Pinata.
You don't post on the vesti anymore do you? Also I never see your videos in my subscription box, it's been like 3 months since I've seen a video from you.
Just wondering, how do you hear or learn about some of the lesser known games? For example Dodonpachi Resurrection. That came out in Europe? I live in Europe and I've never heard of that, how did you?
@NotToImply Good question. Often, it's from other people right here on YouTube. So, like you just did! But largely, I follow the outlets, publishers and writers I care about on Twitter to come across news like this. People like to disparage Twitter, but it's become an invaluable tool for me!
@tvandlust I love Twitter personally but stupidly, I haven't thought about following my favourite developers or publishers. I think I'll get right on that.

Too bad you can't get the Tanooki hat in the USA because PETA banned it from sale like they want to do with Mario 3D Land for him wearing it in the first place. OK, not really.
Have you played any of the Gotham City Imposters Beta? I've been playing since last night and its a really good game, especially because it's only going to cost $14.99
