@lucadrag yes because it is a Verizon phone the only way to activate it is though Verizon customer care. Once they know what phone you have they will automatically add the data plan to your plan or they wont let you activate your phone. Or so we are told.

I was informed that the Motorola Droid, BlackBerry Storm, and the BlackBerry Storm2 all have SIM card capabilities for potentially unlocking the phone and using it on GSM networks. Common knowledge is Verizon likes to be greedy with the shiny phones they get because god knows they do not get many and probable has a exclusive contract with Blackberry and Motorola for the Storms and Droid. This fact in itself denies the SIM card slot rumor but i want a open community opinion is the SIM card there?

guys i jus want to is it a good idea to swatch a sidekick 2009 for a g1 because i was origanlly supposed to get the driod but i couldnt switch from tmobile to verzion and pluys to side kicks are getting old and the g1 has andriod and thats what i want but is it worth it ?

I found this phone at a target, so I started to play with it, but I found the keyboard a bit difficult to press. I'm not sure if you can barely press it to get it to work or if you have to press pretty hard. (since it was off, I was only have to slide and able to press the buttons)

you'll only have to apply medium pressure but the keys do blend together making it weird to get used to when using the phone

was it a non-working model? the keys on them are much more difficult to press than on the real thing. go to a verizon wireless store to try it out. (not an authorized retailer. They usually dont have working models out and they are overpriced.)

it depends on what you want the phone to do. if you want a more customizable phone so you can do what you want with it, go with the droid. but if you want a phone that has a beyond amazing app store, go for the iphone. (obviously there are other differences, but those are the biggest two, in my eyes.)

this phone is more pr hype than anything else, it's an under clocked snapdragon with a physical keyboard and android. Just wait a few months, you will see better phones.

The Droid only has an Arm Cortex A8 processor running near 550Mhz. And with a future video we haven't put up yet we clocked the iPhone 3GS v The Droid in page upload speed and the droid won by 6.3 seconds in loading up 3 different web pages. So don't count the Droid out yet.

will the droid get better and higher end cases to have in the future? for example i like this case in the video and as a matter of fact im going to get one today but i would really like a heavier, beefier, and tougher case made of rubberized metal because in my opinion the added bulk and weight says "im here, and your phone is in good hands" and the matte black rubberized metal material keeps looking sharp and exspesive just like rolex never puts plastic in their watches. it would be cool is all

I wish it came with some sort of audio equalizer, preset or otherwise... I checked it out last night for about an hour and just loved the feel of it, except for the keyboard. I wish I can install apps on it w/o the apps market though. With the windows mobile phones you just download from a site to try before you buy.
